Beware: Bx Built out of business

Looks like Bx Built has disappeared and ghosted everyone that had pending orders through them, including their vendors.

This is straight from the owner of SRQ Fabrications. If you ordered Bx headlights or projectors from anywhere I would start talking with whoever you placed the order through and possibly start contacting your credit card companies

 

Oh, man. Crying.

 

Don’t tell me you’re one of the people caught up in this…

 

So I ordered in December. But thru Bx built. What do can I do. Was 800. Bucks.

 

Anyone else if so what can I do do get my money back?

File a complaint (nv.gov)

CC company said the 60 day period to dispute charges had passed. I was at week 18 of the 20-24 week lead time they told me.

Actually visited their shop in 09/22 and they gave me no indication that there was a chance of them not being able to fulfil my order. @hawkins702 could have told me they were probably closing up shop within the next few months so don't place an order. Nope let me drive right off the cliff. SMH.

Open to any other advice or suggestions. Any recommendations for a retrofit halo headlight for 1G Tundras?

looks like the dirtbag is trying to start a new company. Might be worth trying to pay him a visit… says they do custom lighting…

 

Man, that sucks. Gotta admit, I was already thinking SRQ fab could be sus' didn't make 'em before but now they're gonna to take care of the poor customers that already lost hundred$. It'd be great to get some good LED's for Hulk. But it took 4-5 months to get the BX Builts for A's 4R... that made me not want to risk it again. I've definitely learned, lead times like that don't bode well for a company's longevity.

No regulations prevent it. Definitely risk with any advance purchase.

I don't capitulate. I'm pretty wary.
But Americans (think we) don't love regulation-- evidenced time and time again.

So. We've got to be careful consumers. There're remedies built into many aspects of our trade. Most of them prohibitively expensive and time-consuming. But, yeah, many of us would be all for individuals not getting off scott free after a business bankruptcy-- but currently, bad actors can keep on keeping on.

 

It is just aggravating as shit that this goes on, I personally know someone that has gone through bankruptcy, not once but twice!!!!

 

Yep, me too. I've got exactly one friend (that I know of) that's done bankruptcy multiple times. But no matter how judgmental I am (honorable; some might say rigid), I love the guy. And I often remind myself that his charm and winning personality have enticed many people to follow him into poor financial decisions. Luckily, I haven't, and I think he knows not to ask.

 

My CC is a Visa thru my credit union.

Bummer. I’d keep calling them and try to talk to a manager. They might understand the situation a little better and be able to do something

if not, might be time to get a new credit card with better customer protection. I have an American Express card and they have gotten me my money back on things almost a year old before and they’re currently trying to help me with an issue where a company didn’t honor their 3 year warranty

Well, that dosen't necessarily mean it doesn't exist. I have been to several places which were no longer in business, but google maps said otherwise...

 

I need to find them so I can talk to Andrew that ripped me off.
