Longest drive was when we go out west hunting mule deer. We were driving 23 hours and only stopped long enough to fill up the gas tank. Use the restroom at the gas station and if you had to get something to eat grab it quick. Then back on the road. We would switch drivers a few times. But the longest with one driver was probably when I drove from Ohio to Stowe Vermont.

Wichita Falls is far from the nicest area in the state. I used to live around there. If that was my finally destination after a long trip I would be pissed.

I have done a 17 hour loop around Texas. Don’t remember the milage. It was for work so we did have some stops and wasn’t all driving. Started in central Texas, went all the way to the Texas/Mexico border, around there for a while then all the way back home. We managed to drive that much and never cross a state line.

Reasons why we can put 40k-50k miles on a work truck in a year.

14 hours, from our home to Crescent City California. Beautiful drive through southern Oregon. However, the portion through northern Nevada is never fun or scenic. haha My '18 Tundra was just one year old at the time.

When 9/11 took place I was in Vancouver & my flight was cancelled with no idea of when it would get rescheduled. I rented a car & drove back my home in Wyoming. Drank a Red Bull & drove straight thru. Took about 21 hours with fuel/restroom stops. The weird part was there were no contrails in the sky.

When initially moving some contents from our home in Phoenix to this home in Charleston (2200 miles) I towed a ~7500 lb enclosed trailer. I had it set up ideally and could haul ass with it:D.
Planned the trip for 3 days, leaving Phoenix @ 4 am the first day and spending the first night in Midlands, Texas. We got to Midlands at 5 pm, said hell with it, keep going. Drove another 3 hours and found a hotel outside DFW. 1100 miles or so.
Next day went another 1000 miles to my sons house in Columbia, SC.
    Won’t do that again…

Pulling a trailer always seems to be more draining for me because of the stuff I have in it. I was nervous as hell when we brought everything we own from IA to AZ in one trailer.

Our yearly trip back "home" to see family is 11 hours +/- depending on stops. Coming back (we visit two towns, 3 hours apart) is around 14 hours. I usually do those by myself, but wife will occasionally drive a bit. We typically stop for fuel twice, and either breakfast (on the way up) or a late lunch/early dinner (on the way back). Longest time between stops is generally under 4 hours.

I've done 18 hours split with another driver a few times. That's long enough, and I really don't care to again if I can avoid it. Can't imagine 26 hours as some of you guys have done.

I drove from just east of Baltimore to Meridian MS in one day. Total of 975 miles. Then a few days later I drove from Galveston, TX to Deming, NM for about 900 miles. Don't remember the duration, but both were in one day.

If you count with switching drivers I recently drove with my wife from Hitchcock, TX to Yuma, AZ in one shot except we stopped and rested for about an hour at one point. That was 1300 miles in 23 hours including the 1 hour rest.I would not do this again if I didn't have to.

Had to drive from Connecticut to Naples, Florida ...22+ hours straight!!!

At that time, my gf's Dad had a really bad stroke and was in critical condition. She got of the phone, looked at me, and I said... "We're driving it, let's go, we're going to make it!"
We got there just in time for her to say her goodbyes before he passed. Had she taken the earliest available flight, she would have been too late. It was a brutal drive, but worth it.
We are still good friends to this day and she'll randomly call me up and thank me for doing that.

'bout 31 hours quick round trip in my 4Runner, but I max out after about 16 hours in the uncomfortable Tundra seats. My body just don't like the Tundra seats much after about 14 hrs. Give me a 5.7 4Runner or a 4Runner seat in my Tundra and a long way to go with a short time to get there will be no problem.

Can't remember the longest stretch of uninterrupted driving, but did a 5,005 mi, 10 day round trip with the kids in the 2011 CM when it was a month old (Buffalo, NY to Lake Havasu, AZ and back with a stop at the GC). Had a 2015 DCLB after the CM. Didn't do any long trips with that truck, but I did a lot of work with it over 4 yrs. Traded it in with 60k on it for a 2019 RAM high roof van. Did a partial camper conversion and did a 5,647 mi round trip with the wife in early summer 2020 (Buffalo area to Sequoia NP and back with a camping stop south of Williams AZ and a bunch of other stops. 10-14 days, can't remember).
The van was lost in a wreck recently and I decided to get back into a Tundra. The 2015 DCLB was the best vehicle I've ever owned (for me) and I wanted another one.
Found one in VA with under 4k mi on the odo, so I flew down and drove it home. I think it was roughly 600 mi and an estimated 10 hrs. I probably could've pushed it and made it in one shot, but I didn't leave the dealership until 2 pm, so I stopped with about 2 hrs to go in the trip and took a nap in a rest stop.
Which, if anyone is considering it,....taking a nap in the back seat of a DC with vinyl seats when it's 28F,...ain't as fun as it sounds.

I drove a U-Haul van from Charleston, SC to Santa Cruz, Ca. in 50hrs by myself. I took a couple 15min catnaps at gas stations along the way. That was a brutal trip, never again.

Doing all driving myself, Southeastern Pa to Florida with a 9 month old and a dog towing the largest Uhaul trailer in my old 09 Crewmax moving stuff for my Mother in law. My wife was asking whether we should leave at night and drive over night to avoid traffic. I told her I was not confident she'd end up comfortable driving with a trailer in tow even though she was claiming before we started out she'd get into it once she watched me. So I told her she'd better plan the hotel stays around day driving as I'd have no problem driving the whole way as long as we did straight day shifts and I wasn't trying to keep the rig in a lane in the middle of the night while everybody else was asleep.

I ended up doing all the driving and with baby and dog we did the bulk over 2 days, 7-8 hours per day, with a final hour left to my Mother in Law's on day 3. Probably could have done it in 2 if just us but I have done that drive in one shot in my much younger days.

When I was a young kid and it was cost effective my family road tripped everywhere and almost never flew. Drove as far as Southeastern Pa out to Denver and back to use my grandparents' time share in a Corolla. Fun stuff.

Not too many super long road trips likely in my future. Both wife and son get miserable after more than a couple hours in a vehicle. We Periodically just do 6 to the other end of the state to see friends out there.

Did Jacksonville NC, to San Diego CA, straight, only fuel and restroom, + 1 speeding ticket. 35 hours.

Was due at recruiting school on Monday @ MCRD SD, fucked around until last minute. Wasnt enjoyable as a sightseeing or leisure trip. Was fun though.

This was probably my longest continuous trip. Modesto, CA to Elk City, OK. I drove all but 4 hours, wife took one shift. Almost killed us all at 2am dozing off at the wheel. Not a fan of drives that long without taking appropriate rests or switching out drivers. With stops we probably drove around 24 hours.

We just did 11 hours from Tucson to Bakersfield and back with the pusher and race trailer only stopping once for fuel each way. It’s not bad when you can trade off driving every 5 or so hours but the potholes along I-10 west of Phoenix are out of control.

When I was younger I drove Seattle to Tucson only stopping to sleep south of SF. That’s a jaunt.

Just went from Rocky Mount NC to Minnesota. About 1,350 miles straight last weekend, took about 20 hours. The 2023 Tundra was great up the hills with the twin turbos. The driver door wind noise was horrible after a few hours with crosswinds and such.

Been there driving from CA to MT 20+ years ago in a 87 Lebaron convertible. Wife fell asleep, I woke up covered in sand and stuck in the Nevada desert at 3am. Back in those days people stopped and helped us get the car back on the road. That was one of last times I’ve been a passenger with her driving :goingcrazy:
