Dogs Like Trucks

Good Morning,

My Tundra is due in in a few weeks. I'm looking for advice on a dog seat cover for the backseat. I have a Brittany (bird dog) that is high energy and rarely sits still. He's a back and forth type of Britt smelling outside both back windows.

Where I go, he goes.

My previous truck is a Tacoma accessory cab. So I don't have any idea what I should look for or what style I should have. He's about 40 lbs of energy.

Suggestions?

My old Weimaraner loves sitting in the cab and looking out the door and back window. To make it safer for her I got her a hammock style seat cover as there is so much room between the back of the front seats and the rear seats. The one I got fits good and even has flaps to protect the door.

Gunner Kennels. Worth every penny. The intermediate size fits in the back seat of most trucks. But I put them in the bed. They love it

 

4knines. Waterproof and very durable. fits the rear of my crewmax great. I’ve never given it a full wash, usually wipe it down or spray it off and let it dry out. It’s also easy to pull off if you have people back there, but I usually just leave it on. It also has leash pash through a so the dog can be buckled in.

Just bought the 4Knines one for my Raptor (traded in my 2017 Tundra) and it is the best I have seen yet. We have 2 golden retrievers. Perfect fit…flexible zipper access to seat belts and armrest, and very nice material. Getting one for our X5 to replace the cover we have now which cost similar but nowhere as nice.

i have a 4runner, so i just fold all the seats down anyway and they have full reign of the back.

I've been using a seat saver from Duluth Trading Company in my trucks for many years. I found them to be the sturdiest and can hold up to frequent washing to remove the mud she tracks in from the woods. Fwiw folks, my truck is lifted about 3" and this has been great for my large pooch. Added a clip to the seat frame so it's quickly secured during use.

 

I'll throw in another "thumbs up" for 4kanines. You pay a little bit more but the quality is worth it. Get the "Crew Cab" size - it fits the Tundra like a glove!
