Yeahhhh… going slow with good bits is key. I don’t know if a step bit would be helpful or not. I’m glad mine are done lol

As a structural engineer, I am comfortable with what is being done. More comfortable than I would be just leaving them bolted up through the oversized holes that are already in the frame with the plate washers on the back side.

 

I'm good with it structurally, it's the potential for rusty holes that would keep me up at night.

Auto Insurance Price Increase

Hey, has anyone else noticed a substantial increase in rates this year for their Auto policies?? I'm seeing an increase of approximately 30% w/my current policy renewal w/no changes to the policy including no accidents and no tickets.... WTH???

 

As opposed to a turbo or super charged beer?

Mine have stayed roughly the same, maybe $10/month in the last year or two.

I tell you what, though - have been looking @ other companies for their rates, just for comparison to mine (GEICO - $130/month for 2 vehicles, 100/300/100, $500 deductible, full coverage) and the rates with literally every other company are stupid expensive.

Great weekend so far. Son came over for a few cigars and whiskey Friday evening, and a party at a friend's house last night. Friend was kind enough to think of me while getting party goods. BT isn't rare everywhere, but it is in N. TX.

 

Not sure if it's just because I'm not into bourbon (or corn in general) but I did not enjoy the BT that one of our local BBQ joints serves.

Hell, I'm still waiting for discounts I was told would happen when I was in my early 20s; wait till you're 25 it'll go down; wait til you're married it'll go down; wait till you're 30 it'll go down; wait till you're 40 it'll go down; nope.... not once was it cheaper at any of those milestones

Anyhow, time to shop around I guess!!!
