Retrax. Ready lift. Just bought 3 weeks ago! Looking to add a rack system and winch bumper, then move from there.
Love the setup. Just purchased a 2021 tundra and looking at the 10” rack with the basket, mounted to a retrax. I saw a mention of the 14” giving a great rear view mirror visibility, would you suggest that over the 10” with a basket? Plan to mount an awning and would like to keep it below the roof line. Also, any discounts coming up? Not in a hurry to purchase if there is something good coming!!

I'll put it this way: People who buy the 10" rack usually come back and ask if they can purchase 14" legs.

The only reason to buy a 10" rack is if you have height clearance issues, like a low garage or something.

That said, we have a new rack system coming out that you are going to want to see before you buy anything. It's a game changer.

Very good info and insight. I was worried about trying to keep stuff in the rack below the beeline, but clearly a lot of people change their mind after the 10”. When’s this game changer coming out?!

I have an overhead storage rack in my garage the tailgate goes under. How far away from the tailgate do these racks start? I seen pics of them not all the way back to the tailgate. Been looking at racks for over 3 years now but still not found something

    I thought you'd never ask...

    *clears throat*

The new system is called the VRS which stands for "Voodoo Rail System".

The entire system is centered on the Voodoo Rails:

Multiple different configurations of crossbars and overlanding racks can be created from this platform. This will give you an idea: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/vrs-configurations

The system features built-in tonneau compatibility without the need for special adapters: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/vrs-tonneau-fitment-guide

We're expecting to have the website ready for ordering by the end of the week, or sooner. Here are some previews:

VRS Overlanding racks for Toyota: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/vrs-overlanding-racks-for-toyota

Like our other racks, we have a full line of accessories: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/vrs-bed-rack-accessories

This system will also have options for built-in lighting: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/vrs-lighting-options

Here is the 18" VRS overlanding rack mounted on our Gladiator:

Here are some other random pics:

This picture shows what the different heights look like (22", 18", and 12").

We have 46" and 58" long racks for the Tundra. You can lay a tape measure on your truck bed and see exactly where the rack will be begin.

Nice! Really like the weight it can handle and the sliding side drawers. Do you have a picture of how it mounts to a retrax max? That is what I currently have and was thinking I would need to purchase the RX rails to mount your other racks, but I see this one can use the MX rails. Curious to see how that mounts. How high above the cover would the cargo trays be? Looks like the bars need to mount it are a least a few inches above the deck rails. Finally question, will the cargo tray/basket you sell work with this system? Really appreciate all the info and quick responses!

Does your cover have the integrated track system? It will work either way.

Can you post a couple pics of the cover?

The top of the sliding cargo tray is 6.5" high from the bottom of the rack.

We have some new trays that are specifically designed for the VRS: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/vrs-integrated-storage-options

I’ve got a Diamondback HD if y’all want to test a mounting option that utilizes the existing bed cleats ;)

Why is everybody so far away from us!! lol

We are developing a collaboration with Diamonback so that we can make a version of the VRS that mounts to the cleat holes.

The VRS already has a version that uses the built-in tracks on a Retrax cover, you can see that on our Raptor:

Will it work with a mountain top retractable cover? Has t slots but not as much surface area around them as the retrax.

It does not have the integrated rail, it’s the pro MX, just curious how it mounts, here are some pictures

That looks super compatible. You would install our Voodoo Rails, then put the cover back. It will seal beautifully.

Got it, makes sense now. Sealing is great as I finally got this thing about water tight. Look forward to seeing all accessories and prices online, going to do a little ore measuring to decide between 12 or 18 in then get to ordering!
