Yes CBI and ICI dont alter the radar aperture.

The CBI is fairly new and has mixed reviews, it has a flared edge that interferes with the tailgate articulation.

The ICI has been around for some time, a few users on other forums have reported issues after long term use. I suspect the design doesn't have enough shock and vibration mitigation so it is destroying the sensor over time.

There is a third one that has a recessed design, brand Steel Crap or something like that, and is only available for later models, 17 and below since it was pulled for the late models. I would avoid this one. Your BSM radar is basically looking through a kaleidoscope; while technically it can see the same view it physically cannot interpret the information in the same manner as a sensor that is unobstructed.

I put a CBI rear bumper on a 2018 Tundra. Be aware right up front that the bumper pictured on the website is not the bumper you will get. You will get a bumper like this that has been modified to accommodate a swing arm. That means there will be a plate on each end of the bumper held on by four bolts, and a notch cut into each side of the bumper, none of which is pictured on the website. The notch will have a poorly fitting, poorly finished piece of plastic screwed into it. See picture below.

When I contacted CBI about this they said, "This was the design and finish that we finalized and do not have current plans to change it."

I decided it looked better without the plastic piece in the notch, so I just took it out. It looks better, but not great.

Aside from this notch issue and CBIs lack of concern about it, the bumper is solid, has an overall good appearance and the BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring) and RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert) do work on this bumper.

I expected to be a lot happier about this bumper than I am. As it is, it's good enough, but not as good as I hoped, especially given it has a $2000 price tag.

Cool. Thank you. I missed the last few photos when I went to look at their product page.
I did see they updated their product description to state all the bumpers now support BSM.

Well without seeing how the sensor is mounted it is hard to say definitively but it looks like someone finally did BSM correctly. Hopefully it accommodates the older sensors too for folks with 2017s and below.

Thanks! You made my day even better sharing this.
