    I bought it awhile ago. Used it thrice and it works fine with all the others. The reason they say it doesn't is because they require different licenses, which nobody has anyways. The one you bought will work fine, you just probably wouldn't be able to access the ham channels if you want to.
    Whoa! Slow down big fella... @Cruzer has been acknowledged as an honorary first gen member. You seem to be a good prospect as well but we can't just open the door to the whole turd pile of 2-2.5 gens. That would be really shitty

    Thank you sir. :hattip: Plus I think I have the distinction of being the longest owner of an OG (2000) 1st Gen at 20 years in the family. Which was given to my son and shipped to DC to him while serving in the military. Otherwise, I might still be driving it.

    Grandpa bought new and i did the maintenence until i moved in 2016. It took over 3 months to get a door latch during peak covid, so he bought a new taco and passed the tundra to me in 2020. I've done the diff fluid and trans fluid changes helped him install the backup camera and killswitch. I've been this trucks guy for 21 years.

    when he first got it, we went kite flying at galveston i was 14 and my brother was 6-7. It started raining, and grandpa got stuck in the wet grass, and i had to way-lay on the throttle to get us out, and grandpa bought the bassani exhaust because he thought it sounded weak while i was getting us unstuck. I took this truck in '03 the have the 13wl's installed because of a recall i'd found.

    I'm an idiot, not a complete moron. The current is blue, the 1st Gen was red.

    Unfortunately I can not. After a fender bender or 2 and many, many miles it was going to cost almost as much as it was worth to ship home from the base in Florida than it was worth, so I told my son to sell it to his friend still stationed there.

    It's good
    They were on my DC. At the time I only had a set on the dr side so I moved them over to passenger. But, pull the front seat bolts drop it in there and check clearance. Don’t forget to account for plumbing and sliding the seat forward and back.
