Anyhow, thought I'd let you know I was playing around on the RCI website this past week (since they are doing a 20% off sale) and did a couple of "builds".... W/the sale, price is lowered about $250 + or -, so out of curiosity I pushed a cart to checkout to see what shipping up here would be, and....

They were shipping out FedEx freight for $360, which is not great, but in comparison WKOR and Demello were both in the $600 range for shipping which is what was pointing us toward a group buy. Anyhow, I just thought I'd give you a heads up to the 20% off, plus shipping is not as painful if you had interest in RCI. ***plus I think you'd be able to save a bit more on shipping if you can have them sent to a business address (work, installer, etc.).***

Also, not sure if you need it or not, but they still have their free CAT protection offer (buy a trans skid and you get the CAT guards free)... You don't get 20% off the skid is the only drawback. The skid and CAT guards ship for about $50.

Thanks for the tip. I’m actually waiting for sliders from CBI to ship. I thought hard about RCI and their shipping prices have dropped, but it was still about $400 more.

Funny story. When I was in India last week the others I was traveling with were much less careful about what food they ate. One guy got a bit of a bug, but it went away and no one cared. Well, he ate the wrong food again at some point and has been out sick for the past few days. Another guy got home in time to puke himself into a hospital visit. A third guy got so sick he couldn’t leave the hotel and missed his flight. Had to extend an extra day. Good times.


I’m headed to Mexico next week. The Mex and I don’t have a good track record…so this should be fun.

@T-Rex266 - hope you heal up fast. What'd you have done? Have had an acromioplasty on both shoulders (where they trim the acromion process because it's impinging on nerves and the like) and then a revision to both. Cissus quadrangularis and cold packs from ActiveWrap helped me a *TON*.

 

I think he's talking about his tattoo.

 

I agree that "awake" is overrated. Going back to bed.

 

And I direct you back to my 'awake is overrated' post Man am I out of it. I hope you're right though! Shoulder surgery ain't fun.

 

Haven't slept well here the last two nights because, on the advice of a trainer, we're transitioning our dog to sleeping in his crate at night instead of on our bed.

Only had to get up to comfort him once last night vs 3 times the night before, though.

 

I have a policy of not travelling to 3rd world countries, mainly because of stuff like that.

 

A dude from work goes to Mexico every year and loves bacon wrapped prawns. Like, he can't control himself. He was saying this last time how the bacon was room temperature and limp, he still went for it!
Spent the next 2 days on the shitter.

 

Got this call yesterday.

Dealer: Hi, Zach how are you today blah blah.. Do you still have your '17 Tundra?
Me: Yep, sure do.
Dealer: Oh, great. Our system shows we haven't had your truck in for service since 2020.
Me: Yeah, that's correct.
Dealer: Oh... ok, well I, I just want to let you know that you don't have any current recalls on your vehicle.
Me: Ok, thanks.
Dealer: Have a great day!

I think dealers are still struggling, and trying to pull in business through the service center.
