    @Mr.bee @DJenerated

I know it's probably out of the way, and not as scenic of a drive, but yall are more than welcome to come this way and crash here.

I'm bringing enough tools to make me feel comfortable about my nearly 2,000 mile drive. Sockets, wrenches, etc. Nothing too crazy but enough to do basic repairs if I had to. I'm also trying to keep the weight down to save on fuel so I've ditched some unnecessary items. But the big thing I've been doing is giving the truck a really thorough shakedown making sure everything looks road worthy.

That's what I did just to be safe.

No way I could go. I don't think my truck would make it. Between wheel bearings and questionable power steering lines, it would either make it there and not make it back or blow up somewhere in between.

@bmf4069 I have an extra 2 person tent you could use along with a French Press and a little pot thingy for boiling water. Comes with two cups. I'm leaving Saturday the 29th though. Let me know before we depart Tennessee if you need to use this.

I would probably focus your efforts on finding equipment to cook with/on. If you don't currently own much camping equipment you'll need that.

I mean, there won't be any moderation there handing out vacations, right? Is it just a distance thing?

I suspect @FirstGenVol has the longest-to-travel distance. When I just measured, his distance was within 10 miles of mine, right around 1750 miles.

What in the actual f are you guys doing after I go to sleep, good lord!

Or... @bmf4069 since you'd have to bring propane for most stoves, just bring propane and be helpful cleaning up after meals, in exchange for using others' stoves or griddles to cook food you buy. You may not have to create more than a couple of "real" meals anyway. Good to bring pb&j materials just in case, then you don't have to stress about it.

*unless you're allergic to peanuts. In which case, this plan would probably be really stressful.

I'm also bringing an extra 2 person tent, air mattress, cot, sleeping bags and a grill that can be shared around. If you're coming from out of town, PM me if you want me to hang on to any of that for you.

How long of a drive is it from your place to Sedona?
Edit: 9.5hrs to Sedona from Amarillo vs 8ish from Los Cruces or Roswell. I think maybe we should crash at your place and roll out I'm the morning Thursday in our 3 deep TX convoy.

    What say you @Mr.bee ?

I always think of Texas as far from things but that's way closer than it'd be for me.

Yeah, I'm all the way in the north. Fun fact about amarillo: I'm closer to 6 other states capitols than my own. Including Cheyenne Wyoming.

I'm looking at getting a truck bed tent and maybe through a ground mat or something in there. I'm still not sure if my gf is coming with me but figured I'd need something like this for if we ever do the camping. I also found a neato cooler I'll get.

@FirstGenVol if yall stop here, holler at me and we can go eat or something.

We'll definitely be passing through on I-40 but not sure if we're stopping. The plan is to do the 26 hours without stopping for the night and just nap as needed while the other person drives. Who knows if that will work or not.

Both work. Many of us have adapters that make one or the other work. But there'll be both kinds of stoves all around, I'd bet.

Really? Shit, I may bring a bender and some sticks of DOM then and fab up some sliders right quick while we're waiting for the overhander brigade to show up....:welder::wave:

Bottle jack bud. takes up as much space as a fifth of whiskey, and has plenty of reach if you put it in the right spot. I shaved down and welded a 3/8 hex-bolt in the 'dial/knob/receiver part of a factory mechanical bottle jack, so a 9/16" socket on a impact or drill driver will put a wheel in the air in less than a minute. 'Farm jack?...... psh. You gonna show up with it mounted on the hood of your jeep too?:ohsnap:

If you turn up the radio so as not to hear the pin-striping happen, did it really even happen? That's like plugging your nose while taking a shot of liquor. You're robbing yourself of the full experience. :itllbuffout:

Do your thang bruh. Was there a fleshlight involved?:boink::rofl:
Wait a minute.... it fit under your seat? That's awesome as well.......hmmmm. Lemme make sure I want it under the hood now. That's where my HUGE horns currently reside.
I’ve got a truck bed tent that I may be willing to let go of for a small fee.

Stickerburrs? Out here have “goat heads” but the Sedona area isn’t infested with them. We have snakes, but haven’t spotted one out there yet…..
