well you can do that for the domestics right now, seems like the big 3 have plenty of stock on hand but no one is buying.

not sure if its the apr right now or people not interested in domestics. i know plenty of toyota dealers can barely keep new stock on the lots (in my neck of the woods)

 

Would you anticipate it taking the full 30 days? Or could it just randomly show up at the dealership?

 

mine went into qc hold on 22 dec. it was loaded onto a transport on the 20-feb. no change in status/updates in that whole time between qc hold and being loaded.

and someone else that had a 1794 on the same qc hold was released about 3-4 weeks before mine at the same holding railyard in daytons bluff, mn.

 

If your vehicle is on hold, will it show on the Toyota tracker website, or do you have to find out from your dealer (or this thread)?

 

Lol for fear of the pitchforks coming out, I don't dare give you an estimate. I would say plan on 30 days, anything under that I'd count as a win.

Is anyone able to shed light on the language used on these holds? "QC Under study" Does that just mean they are training new inspectors? or something else

 

If Toyota is not willing to inform us of what technical issue is being investigated on our vehicles, it seems completely unlikely that they would provide us details about inspector training or any other aspect of this process.

@bobbilly, can you pull tracking on 5TFLA5DA9X083035 when you get a moment - I know it arrived at the port but got caught up in the tonneau cover hold even though it doesn't have a cover. Was hoping it was going to clear the hold quickly but doesn't appear so. thanks!

 

um thats odd the vin number px is missing. your vin is only 16 digits long. P is the model year and p=2023 and the 10th position of a vin is the model year.

the x after the year denotes plant it was build at, x=texas
