OEM Toyota Coolant

I keep finding different part numbers for OEM Coolat. Maybe they have pre mixed and non?

Anywho, anyine know or have the part number for Toyota coolant? 2020 5.7 - pre-mixed would be nice.

The correct P/N is 00272-SLLC2. This is the only correct fluid. There is no pre-mix available for any Toyota since I think around 2004. You're already on the right track by just sticking with OEM.

Just use distilled water to dilute to the desired ratio. Less expensive (1/2) without the predilution, i guess the weight of the water. Luck all.

 

Pentosin Pentofrost A4 works with our cooling systems. Much cheaper than OEM SLLC.

 

Not the same stuff and is not rated for such long intervals, hence the red is "long life" and the pink is "super long life". How often are you changing coolant that you would notice the difference in price? There is one other correct option you can use, its part number is C0009-00120, its SLLC but 55/45 instead of 50/50. Its actually a Canadian "part" since it really would only be necessary in crazy cold temps. I'd stick with 00272-SLLC2 though.

Toyota Red “Long Life Coolant”. From long, long, long time ago to 2003-04. 30,000 miles/3 years.

Toyota Pink “Super Long Life Coolant”. 2003-04 until today. 100,000miles/5 years.

 

The only caveat is that they actually say to replace it at 120 months or 100,000 for the first change but then 60 months or 50,000 after that. So that being said I'm just going to do it at 50,000/5 years instead since theres gotta be a reason they dont want to to go past 50,000 after 100,000.

Any idea on how long these will "hold" for if the containers remain sealed and are stored in a garage???

My 2019 will be 5 years in June, with 40,000 miles. I’m going to drain/fill the coolant this summer with the OEM pink stuff.

Can someone share, how many of the OEM bottles do I need to purchase to complete the coolant service?

 

Good question. I need to do this as well. 160k. Bought it at 156K. Not sure it was ever changed.

 

I believe it is 12.4 quarts, I bought 4 jugs. Have not done mine yet though.

 

My oil catch can is only 10 quarts, I’m going to need another to complete this job!

Toyota has been offering free shipping over $75 for a long time now.

 

Could always drain the radiator first, then dump the fluid into a container. Then do the drains on the sides of the engine after, you can only do one engine drain at a time anyway unless you are using multiple pans.

I took pictures of the drain valves on the sides of the engine since they are hard to spot if you dont know what you're looking for. They are accessible through the wheel wells with some socket extensions.

 

If you do it every 50-60k you can just drain from the radiator and refill. This is how we do it. Ive yet to see SLL coolant go bad or not test good by 100k miles. Usually 2 gallons will do the job. If you want to take it a step further, then drain the block.

 

No idea how I missed that huge red banner.

Might be a good time to order the grille, too, if I can get over my fear of things not fitting and wasting 250 dollars.
