Thanks Buellride! I noted in your post that you had modified those female plugs to fit. I was wondering if a plug and play option (w/o required modification) had surfaced since then.

Could you repost a link to the part number you went with? I have the rear bumper digicam parts and they look fantastic, these flares will look ossm w/those. Thank you for creating this thread!

I found this link you posted, wondering if this is still the correct one. If so, how many do I require, and are there any other needed items? For the modification, any advice on how you got them to fit, after modding any additional steps?

    Thx again!!! https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php/xrf/gshp/products_id/5559

Yes those are still the correct plugs that I modd'ed. You can use a Dremel tool or grinder to carefully shave down the female plug. I went with those plugs because they were pre-made with the pin sleeves and pigtails. You will need 4 ea, plus any shrink tubing/wire casing/T-tap/connectors, etc. A couple of other members followed the steps I mentioned in the thread and it seems to have worked well for them. When grinding down the plugs you need to pay attention to how much you are grinding down, less is more, but too little will create connection issues on the male OEM marker light in that it won't seat correctly. The male pins are VERY tiny and can bend easily so if the connection is too tight you may inadvertently bend the male pins while trying to insert the modd'ed plug

Thanks BR, I really appreciate this additional and very helpful detail, will make a big difference when I make the attempt myself. You had already posted this, so I really appreciate your time giving me this additional info!

By any chance do you know the size of the OEM side of the plug? Knowing myself, I love wrenching but on the electrical side I am (much) weaker. If I can find a (plug and play) set of plugs with pin sleeves and pigtails (not needing to modify) that would be reassuring to me.

If Toyota’s plugs are proprietary though, I imagine that nothing on the market will fit without modding as you have done. I won’t be purchasing an entire harness for $600+ that’s for sure!

I am finding good prices so far on the parts which is reassuring (haven’t looked at shipping yet though!). I may work through my dealer if they cover shipping.

Ordered the parts through BAM, all well. Just checked my email, they cancelled the order and refunded my payment. Hate it when this happens. Would prefer they just keep it on back order until they’re available.

“We regret to inform you, these are back ordered with no ETA, and we will not be able to fill the order. Because there is not ETA, we are also unfortunately unable to hold the order for an unknown amount of time.
We apologize for the inconvenience, due to this unforeseen issue, the order will be canceled and you will be fully refunded. You should see the funds in your account within 1-3 business days. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
    Thank you”

Oh crap! I had my first order canceled after a month. Now my second order at Spark has been sitting there for a month. Still no parts to ship!

Might have to consider the RC Sport Flares.

Try Conicelli Toyota in pa. Cheapest I’ve found on all parts. I’ve got my flares $69 ea. they also offer free shipping and 5% off when you subscribe. They have yet to cancel any order I’ve put in. Ordered my flares beginning of FEB. got it in 1.5 weeks.

To be honest I never even tried them. I was too impatient and wired up my own connections. But they are the same part number so I believe they will need to be shaved down.

Oh man... everyone trying to make TRD-P fenders work.

I just bought a Pro, hoped the digi-camo would grow on me, but it hasn't lol I hate it. So, I'm awaiting delivery of MGM color matched fenders, back panels, and flat black front upper bumper so I can get rid if most of it. Will address the spoiler later (likely with a flat black). I don't need the fender lights or extra .75" width/side. I debated spraying them all flat black, and it may look good, but opted to keep this OE stuff in case I sell in a few years.

A few pages back someone color matched the pro flares. It looked pretty good imo.

Not sure if you have some insight. I tried to wire up the maker light in rear but was unsuccessful. I’ve read your break down about the white and black stripe wire as ground and white and green stripe as power. In my rear right tail lights. I have white/green and white/baby blue do you know if that’s the ground? Also have solid green as you mentioned. I don’t have the white/black wire.

I’ve tried to wire it today but was unsuccessful. I gave up bc this weather is too cold as of now. I’ll have to try again once I get some more info.

A quick update, after having my order cancelled by Brunswick Auto Mart (BAM), I re-placed the order with Sparks. They confirmed on the phone that they wouldn’t cancel even if the parts are delayed. Received the below email re all parts being on backorder. Hopefully they’ll ship soon!

We have ordered your part(s) from Toyota. At this time Toyota has placed them on a backorder status. Normally Toyota can get the parts to us in 2-3 weeks however with the current supply chain issues it can run longer.

If at any time you would like an update or to make a change to the order please respond to this email and we will assist you as best as we can.

    Regards,
