cloud 3.jpg Cool thunder cloud. Actually ended up not being very cool when it hit.
    Deck.jpg My "lodge"
    ant.jpg Campers best friend
    cones2.jpgPinion pine cones
juniper.jpg my dead juniper, dang it
    no tres.jpg Property marker

j1.jpgThe only juniper on my property finally died. Several hundred years old
    tree1.jpgLarge pinion pines
tree5.jpgMore large pinion pines. I have a couple of hundred + on my propery
raven nest.jpg Remnants of ravens nest. They rebuild it each year and tear it down after chick's hatch. They attack my dog during nesting if we are there.

The second largest Rocky Mountain Elk herd in North America is located here. The largest is in northwest CO. The day before I arrived on scene my neighbor said the herd had moved down off Forbes Park to feed on a very large alfalfa field owned by Trinchera Ranch (250 acre field). I pass it going to my property. They had moved off somewhere by the time I got there. He said he and his mom stopped counting at 400 head. The herd can vary from 600 to 700 easily. I had a 6 point mulie (6X6 here out west. We don't add them up)run thru my property yesterday morning. Dwarfs white tails.
