I have a 2017 Tundra 5.7L 4X4 Crewmax Limited w/factory towing package. GVWR 7200lb. Towing capacity 8900 - 10500. What would my trailer hitch weight capacity be? Will install Weight Distribution / Anti-Sway system.

Hi, I suggest you read the numerous threads about this.

Basically look at the sticker inside the driver's door to see what the payload is. Probably between 1300-1500lbs.

Then start doing math. Subtract the weight of passengers, the weight of cargo, any addons to the truck (like a bed cap), and that's how much you can put on the tongue.

You'll find it's not very much.

Probably between 1150 and 1250 pounds for a limited. "limited" refers to your payload in this situation as well. Mine with a sunroof and OR package is listed at 1135lbs.

Oversized tires count against it too.

I would bet your tow capacity is 8800 to 9200 lb. There is a code on the door jamb sticker with the large bar code right above the words "MADE IN U.S.A.".

It looks something like this: USK56L-PSTSKA

Look in the 2017 owners manual under tow ratings and find what it says for that code. That will tell you what your particular truck is actually rated to pull.

You'll max out tongue weight before you get anywhere near 8800 lb on a typical trailer.

Looking for how much weight the hitch / ball is rated for. My dealer advised my Maximum Towing capacity is 10,500 lbs and the max payload is 1630. He didn't know what the trailer hitch was rated for.

If I had to guess, I'd say they fit the Tundra with a class 4 hitch, which would put it at 10-12k pulling and 1000-1200# tongue weight capacity.
But I wouldn't worry about the hitch's max cap. That's going to far exceed the truck's capacity. I would focus on the truck's payload max. You're gonna want to keep the tongue weight well under 1000#. Your hitch is good.

Hitch is going to be rated for more than the truck can tow. Your actual payload capacity is listed on one of the stickers on the doorjam. if youre a 4x4, it's probably around 1300lbs.

Either way, they are just numbers, do whatever ya want ;)

    Numbers don't matter.
All that matters is how much the rear end sags.
That's why I welded bottle jacks to the top of my axle. now I just crank those puppies up, no sag and my towing abilities are limitless.
