At training in NJ so I thought, since we're all cops, donuts would be appropriate. The evidence was left in several local parking lots.

That's awesome! TC is on my bucket list, how tough was it? I've heard the bootpack up it can be brutal.

We had a pretty low tide winter last year, so the boot pack was easy in the wind buff. We skinned up a little from the road to the start of the couloir, but that was probably the most challenging part due to crappy snow and the brush. Switching to the booter was a lot easier (I also really love hiking uphill, so maybe I'm the freak) and the ride down was a little sporty with the chalky snow and a weird wind vein and some ice. It would be fun to get back in there with some softer snow. But a very cool line to ride, enjoy!!!

So, you running the TRD lift... Looks good on that rig, and the stance is :muscleflexing: Did you end up installing it or did the dealer do it for you???

What's your feedback on it... I don't get onto many Gen3 threads, so if you did a post(s) discussing it, please feel free to not type that out again and just give me a link to your post(s)!

Ok, everything I knew about moving through a sandwich of ice + 8" of dry fluffy snow + 1-2" of hard crust was wrong. For all these years since I bought Tundra it was an ultimate obstacle, which negotiated buying a winch + bumper. With traction control disabled Tundra was just jumping back and forth trying to climb up the crust (that holds 200 lbs of me), then break it, throw out the fluffy stuff, then struggle getting any traction on ice. So I thought it was natural and got a winch to help getting the last feet. Boy I was wrong...

I watched a youtube video a few months ago about long pressing of traction button, but that fell right into subconscious part of memory, where it was hiding behind the now present winch. This time I was making very slow progress in 4LO, where the traction was somewhat better disabled, but the revving engine just wasn't spinning wheels fast enough. So I asked myself if darn traction can be disabled better in 4HI, and suddenly out of nowhere that video came out from the darkest corners of the memory. Jesus Christ... This truck can plow! I was tearing apart all those ice-glazed log roads, mile after mile! It was unstoppable even on quite aggressive slopes, where I assuredly was winching in the past. Oh wow... Of course, average MPG was like 3 ;) When grinding through the snow it was probably less than 1.

Still had to use winch one time, but only to climb up into a wind protected pocket for the night, in controllable manner, to avoid damage to the truck.
