What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

For those who say it's the little things, here u go. Tinted my reverse lights only. I think it came out great and on the mgm looks tits. I can finally look at my tails and not throw up in my mouth. Can't answer yet how it effects light output at night backing up since just put on today. Guessing won't be bad and if I have to can always upgrade to some vled leds in tails if needed. I'm now in process of contacting tct wraps to see if they can cut me 2 pieces to match the 3rd. Let me know what u guys think, not that I'd take it off if anyone didn't but just looking for any honest feedback on it.

Oh yeah, can't wait for this one! Stay tuned just throwing out there a little teaser shot. I'm almost 100% positive many guys will be interested in this 1 when I do it. Gonna take a solid half or more day and not planning to start it til next weekend. Quite a bit of work involved so I'll do a detailed step by step thread on it when I get around to it. I'm not trying to be a dick, that just comes naturally, but I'm not going to answer a million questions on it b4 I even open box. All I'm going to say is I think many of u will be interested in it so keep an eye out for a thread by me in the near future, hoping I get to it and complete same day this Sat. Detailed thread will follow not long after. I'll post couple pics here and a link to The thread if interested. The 2 hints I will throw out there are it kills 3 birds with 1 stone and I've heard many guys on here and other tundra sites talking about it, I just haven't seen anyone yet pull the trigger, ur boy here took the chance and will let my tundra fam here know how it all goes so others can stop talking about it and pull the trigger themselves due to my feedback for those on fence assuming all goes well and I'm happy with how it all turns out. Some of you who know me a little better might already know. For those that don't just sit tight and give me about a week or so and I'll let u know when I get around to the install and detailed thread. Guess as much or as little as u want, but don't get upset when I don't respond about it. Just be patient young grasshoppers and I assure u the wait won't be long and it will probably be worth your time to check it out when I'm done. Trust me, with as many people I know for a fact are interested in it,but weren't going to get it until someone like me played the test dummy I won't keep u guys waiting long in case u want to do too. Tnx buddy, I think so too. Couldn't stand the look of our oem tails, they looked like an afterthought. And all that chrome in the light, cue throw up sound. I honestly couldn't say if it would look as nice on other colors, I don't see why not, but I saw it first on blue bottles and after talking with him and seeing some more pics, he made me do it. Lol

For u others: I just opened the box and will let u see in it. Did I mention before that being a dick came naturally to me, and u thought I was gonna actually show it all. lol
All seriousness, I just don't want to have to start answering bunch of questions yet, especially since I can't give honest feedback yet. Trust me, I'm not always a dick, I just play 1 on tv. Wow Mark, I think u must be my long lost brother, that or I just found the 1 man who has a worse memory than me. Unless, ur j/K about the oil or liquid. Reason I say that is bc awhile ago we had a little convo about exactly what's in the box. U said u were looking at the same exact setup, same company where I got, ect.. Lol. U were part of the reason I said some may already know what's in the box b/c u and I my friend, we spoke about me getting this and u said u were looking at the same thing, was wondering about this exact setup. Don't ruin the surprise if it rings a bell. Either way, u just made me feel better about my bad memory, lol

Sure Chris that's what we all say. Yet I continue to fork over serious cheese. For me it's a do what I got in the box, a headlight retro, and a couple other small touches ie match 3rd tint reverse to tail, couple red stickers like letters in grill and bed then I'm done. Yet I can guarantee you I will change all other outside lights to leds, delete chrome in cab, and the list goes on. Hate to be the 1 to tell u, but it never ends. Ur only chance is to run fast from the sites now and don't look back lol. Good luck with it.

 

If ur a light guy and want some inspiration, I don't think u can do any better than 1upper on here. He's a bad man when it comes to lighting and stuff like that.

Lol glad u were able to pull and recover from ur memory the convo we had a month or so ago about it. I'm just hoping I'm going to love it as much as we both think I will too and that I can set it all up without issue. I'm guessing a half a day with everything without much stopping but unfortunately I have a habit of falling into the category of things taking 2-3 times as long as should due to conditions and issues outside my control. If something can go wrong with me it usually finds a way. I'm going to get real positive on this things ass and say I'm going to have it banged out by end of day Sat with starting afternoon when I get home from work. I hope I love it and can help a bunch of others I know are or at very least were on fence about getting themselves but were hesitant due to lack of any reviews. Guess I'm the test dummy on the Tundras. I know bunch of others are very happy with simular setup from same company on other vehicles.

 

I took all the parts off around the shifter. Dirt and dust always seem to get trapped around the shifter. It only takes a few minutes to disassemble everything with a plastic pry tool. I wanted to paint the chrome trim around the drink holder and shifter.

 

I must do this. I hate that effing chrome in mine...
