Curious how you like this so eagerly await feedback once you receive. Waiting for my JB4 to see how that interacts with standard sport mode and if I feel the need for any pedal recalibration.

I have one on my 17. It makes a pretty dramatic difference depending on what setting you have it on. I’ve never tried it in track mode. City and sport are all I’ve played with. If you don’t like it, unplug from obd port and it goes right back to stock.

Well, after posting this, I got the official "Test Pilot" email from them which told me not so talk about the testing... but long story short, I still haven't tried it due to connector mismatch. Still waiting on word for moving forward.

I had the Banks Pedal Monster in my ‘18 Tundra. Absolutely loved it. I just got a ‘22 TRD Pro.
Anyone aware of any issues with installing it in the Pro since it’s a hybrid twin turbo?

Anyone try this yet? If not, I've got one ordered and will post feedback. I plan on installing the Banks iDash gauge as well in some creative spot lol

no JB4 here, I won't guineapig that one lol
Yeah I'm looking for better instant throttle response, which should be available with my hybrid. Already had iDash on another previous vehicle so its just a swap-over. Didn't realize these are not released yet... Banks site didn't say anything that would leave me to believe that so I expect it should ship any day.

oh maybe mine comes earlier since its not the standalone - I got the one that plugs into the iDash and is controlled on the gauge (not on mobile device)

I’ve got one for a 2017 with the little gauge pod that you can monitor certain engine parameters and adjust settings from it. It REALLY wakes up the sensitivity of the gas pedal. I haven’t even tried it on track mode. Not really a needed purchase, but a fun one.

The JB4 doesnt have to be plugged in to the obd2 port for the maps to work...you just wont get any of the PID readings on the app. I wouldn't try using a Y splitter to get both to read, although it might work.

OBD2 power supply is the only reason I'm not going with the Banks unit and sticking with the PC-55...I like having the data info from the JB4

Unfortunately there is no splitter on the market that can allow two OBDII devices operate simultaneously (that I'm aware of at least)

From the notes on the product :
    Fitment Note

    • For use with Banks devices and Retractable Steps.
    • Not intended for use with Banks devices andthird-party OBD monitors.

Most ECMs will only communicate with one diagnostic device at a time. Using a splitter will result in the vehicle’s ECM having to choose between devices. One of your devices will not operate properly.

If you use banks devices it will work. For example, pedal monster and iDash you would be fine.

I talked to Banks on the phone about this very thing since I was looking at running the pedal monster and my Edge CTS3 monitor. Won't work.

That's when I scrapped the Banks products idea, sold my banks tuner, and went with a customized tune specific to my vehicle. Now it's a totally different beast all together.

For whomever is using a JB4, it does have a feature to make the throttle response linear.

I think it should suffice, for what everyone is trying to accomplish with the Banks pedal Monster.

So just to clarify...you CAN use the JB4 and the PM even if you don't disable data. The JB4 will lock in the map settings, you just won't have live data.

If you disable live data on the PM, then you basically have a PC...huge waste of money.

I've been running a PC 55 for a year now, absolutely no problems or complaints. The "boosted in reverse" is a non issue at the setting I use it on (City -3 or -4). It would most definitely be an issue in Race mode but no one should be dailying in that setting.

JB4 does not hook up to your pedal or modify any pedal position...so no, it would not be a replacement for a Pedal Commander. I'm actually waiting on a pedal module from BMS to beta test for them.

If that’s the case, why do it offer a “linear setting” for the throttle?

Not trying to argue, since you’ve been a beta tester for Burger you should know better…

Nobody can (or should) tell you with certainty that two devices work on a OBD2 splitter. It is not an exact science - some combos might work, others might not. Banks pedal monster has a model that plugs into the iDash if you have both (and that is the preferred method of using both, and what I'll be using in a few days when the PM arrives). Anything else splitter'd in may or may not work, and inconsistently so. If/when I move to a JB4 (after enough people have put on enough explosion-free miles on them), I'll remove all Banks devices and just run JB4 and use the phone as my gauge.

You're assuming it's for the pedal position....its not. It's for the JB4 mapping

Back to OP's original post. Has anyone had luck with the Banks Pedal Monster on the 3rd gen yet?

I'm in the process of ditching both of our pedal commanders and switching to the Banks Pedal Monster. In discussion with them regarding the splitter on the Tundra, I can run the standalone pedal monster and my ScanGuage 3 at the same time. They said all I will need to do is go into the app and select the "NO OBD" mode. The only thing that I will lose is the reverse gear detection.

So yes, using their splitter, I am running the Pedal Monster in "NO OBD" mode and my ScanGauge 3 at the same time with no issues. The PM is a much better unit than the PC.

So the only thing you give up by turning off the obd2 is the reverse safety function?
