Nah, I would recycle before bothering with shipping 'em. They picked them up.

That's what I was thinking. Unfortunately I think I'm the only member in East TN other than @jpink who doesn't need these.

Craigslist. If no one bites, you haven't lost much.

Edit: when Hulk got rebuilt, I had a bunch of OEM take-offs. I knew no one reading that build thread needed 'em so, although I posted up just in case, I got no takers so, a couple weeks later, I found a local shop specialized in parts and took everything there. I "donated" on the theory that that guy making a few dollars was better than everything going straight to the dump.

Yep, that and Offerup. I listed mine on those too, but the forum was where I ultimately got a bite.

Offerup has been good to me in the past.

Shifty, I went through the same when I bought my 315s. I went back and checked - I paid $399 each in March of 2022, and had to order them direct from Method. They definitely were not cheap, but I have to say they are very nice in person. I get compliments from random people almost every time I take the truck out. (Except the GF, who absolutely hates them, which makes the whole thing even funnier…)

Recycle. I know a couple of nearby scrappers who basically scrape some extra income collecting metal, I just alternate calling them up with piles of metal.

Nah, not dead-set on Method. I haven't checked SCS out, but looked at several other brands.

Thing is, I want gold ideally. And this is coming from a guy who never puts gold anything on anything, I generally hate gold. But gold with a black faux beadlock looks goddamn good, better than anything else I photoshopped onto my truck. I don't like the way bronze looks, and copper was even worse. And I really hate how low-end-stocker black-on-black looks on any trucks unless you're going full blackout.

I'll check SCS out, see if they have anything that fits what I'm hunting for (gold/black faux beadlock)

There’s a set of brushed cooper SCS Ray10’s in WA on offer up. Is there any interest in the market for 2006 OEM 17” double 5 spokes? I have a set that’s beat to death I will sell cheap but I also work at a shop where I can re-finish and paint buyers color of choice for a cost.

OK guys and gals, I need help. There's a skunk under my house that keeps spraying every few days. This is a rental. I can't get under the house as there's no built in access. I'd have to tear the skirting off and probably damage it in the process. I put in a maintenance request before about this, and just submitted the 2nd. I'm almost positive it's their responsibility to handle this.

If the don't, I'm gonna rip the siding open and shoot that bitch, drag the corpse out, and throw it in the property managers yard. You're problem now fuck face. That's what you get for trying tow tow my SHOs.

Rent a trap if that’s possible and move it far away OR kill it and throw it under the property managers house. how is it getting in there?

@bmf4069 I don’t know the laws in Texas but here they’re required to provide habitable housing. If the skunk got in through no negligence of yourself, the landlord is responsible for getting rid of it. I’d see an attorney to confirm, but you should be able to pay to get it removed and take it out of the rent after you informed the landlord and they didn’t do anything. If it was rabid, the town should pay for that and usually have animal control come out to remove it.

Yep. In California, telling the landlord is called 'constructive notice'. You told 'em, it didn't get corrected; you correct it then take the costs off your rent.

I had to deal with that once, but is was for a past girlfriend who couldn’t leave her apartment because a rabid woodchuck was coming after her. I didn’t believe it myself until I saw that thing waddle after me trying to get through the screen door. Called animal control and they got rid of it.

So, working under the truck today I noticed the muffler has a small rusted hole, about 3/8 " diameter. Haven't noticed any increased noise but know I'll have to replace the muffler at some point. Probably more parts too, as the exhaust system is all original except maybe one cat replaced ~12 years ago.

I'll have to get another CO emissions inspection in Aug. Any chance a little JB Weld epoxy and paint can close the hole for a year or so?

If I do replace the exhaust system parts, any favorites beyond OEM that are reasonably affordable? Suggestions?

Fucking schmoooooooooove! Bare tool box, frame/wheels only is 315 lbs. Total weight on each wheel is 78.8 lbs. Still got a ways to go to reach that 600lb cap.
    20230304_235444.jpg
Add a vise, add tools, add gear, add candy, add fluids. This'll probably be upwards of 600 lbs when I'm done with it. It rests about 1⅜" taller than my old red tool box.

I had to grind some of his welds out, and redo them to get the wheels flat. This is my first rodeo cutting, thinking, measuring, and trying to keep things level.

i've got 4 of these kinda traps, caught all kinds of critters. Keep it covered with towels or a blanket, use a can of cat food for bait, and leave the trap and skunk on whoevers porch.

12 years sounds about right to replace the system of the truck was a daily driver it’s whole life. When my muffler went out due to a faulty internal baffle, I replaced the muffler and resonator section with OEM and should have replaced from the CAT back since I chased exhaust leaks for next 5 years after that. Later, I found the mid section original pipes were paper thin.

My advice if it’s an option is to get an estimate for a stainless steel CAT back system but make sure to get stainless steel O2 bungs (Summit Racing I believe has them) so they aren’t the first things to rust out.

Custom exhaust shops are the place to go though. Stay away from chains like Midas if they even do that.

If you just want to patch it, post a pic of the issue so others here like myself can provide a good solution.

Anyone know who makes our power steering pump? Is it Aisin? I know the 2002 pump was discontinued from the manufacturer but I wasn’t sure if that implies the manufacturer of it doesn’t make it anymore.

The ocho @ TS touched on this a couple days ago. New oem pumps seem to be discontinued, but a handy gentleman found oem pumps that have been rebuilt or remanufactured.

It's an entire genre of music that was popular in the late 80s-late 90s, Miami Bass. I was in FL at the time and Bass 305 was one of those artists whose discs you had to have. DJ Magic Mike, Techmaster PEB, Bass Patrol, Bass Boy, Quad Force, Bass Syndicate, Kid Fury, Bass Mekanik, Bass Patrol are some of the popular artists that come to mind from the era.

It was less about music and more about rhythmic sub-bass than anything. Who could drop the lowest, longest, and make it sound remotely like music.

I remember BITD everyone went nuts for Bachbusters to subwoofer test and overall test. IASCA used some tracks on their test disc. I know there were other favorites, but this one, at the 22 second mark, was a punch in the gut
