Anyone want to swap these Ltd flares for black ones?

Just wanted to put a feeler out there… I have a beautiful Midnight Black Metallic Limited but it comes with these Magnetic Grey Metallic-ish fender flares. I built a Limited in MGM on the Toyota site and it looked like it was color matched.

looking to trade for any shade of black (matte, MBM, or whatever else black is out there)

local would best in Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia area.

 

I'm in seattle area..I have midnight black fender take offs for sale...I upgraded to pro flares...

 

How much you asking for em?

 

Unless he had them painted those are just the regular gloss black fender flares, not midnight black. Only the capstone and TRD sport come with color matched fender flares

Thanks for the heads up. I’m not too picky. As long as they’re black and undamaged I’m willing to see what folks are willing to let ‘em go for.

 

why don't you just have a local body shop paint the ones you have? likely cheaper that way anyways

 

I think the factory black ones are only $100 each from the dealer, paint would be around the same to double that!

 

Yeah that’s way more than I’m willing to spend. trying to do this on a budget (i.e. the cost of gas to drive - I am cheap ass). Appreciate the recommendations though

 

Check out the Rough Country Flares. $249 if you don't get them painted and they look better than oem. I don't have a set yet but I don't think they require any drilling. There is a post on the forum with details.

 

Yeah I know exactly which ones you’re talking about. I was really interested at first because how subdued they were but the more I looked at it, something about the way they drop all the way down to the under carriage just totally changed the lines of the design. These chunky Gen 3 line have grown on me I gues and I wanna keep it as OEM looking as possible. Appreciate the recommendation though!

 

they aren't painted though are they? so they wont color match his midnight black truck

 

they won’t, but they will be hardly noticeable especially vs the gray ones on there

I’m just having my dealer take off the flares, rear spoiler and having those color matched blue print before i take delivery, also ordering new grill surround and having that color matched as well since you can’t paint over the smoked chrome one that comes with it. I’m having them do a few other things as well

 

Sounds like a full service dealer. Mine was just a wholesale unit mover. One of biggest in NW. Wish we had one that did stuff like that on this side. In Oregon or Montana would be even better with zero sales tax.
