Nice clean install, but I've often wondered is there any real need to use AN lines and fittings for this application? Seems like you could do it even cheaper with an appropriate style hose and barbs.

Nope it could be done with hose and barbs for even more cost savings.

Could be worse I suppose. There's a guy in town with a Raptor with the Shelby package and it sounds like a kazoo.

When it’s all done, if they do repair it, make sure you go after diminished value claim (if it’s available in your state).

The gold air box makes me chuckle.
So this just relocates the actual intake for the AIP’s to reduce possibility of water getting sucked into them?

And why exactly does it need to be -10 braided hose?

Yea water and debris especially since with after market fenders there’s no liner so it’s exposed. Also for clearance of travel.

Following up. 2nd day with the Rental Ram 1500 and it’s completely dead. I was getting ready tto go the the gym and the power locks didn’t unlock the truck. Used the manual key to get in. Turned the truck on and nothing. Enterprise came out and tried to jump it…. Still nothing. Currently it’s sitting in front of my house until they tow it. What a week so far.

Some better news is my new rental is a crew cab Tacoma. I like it a lot but man is it small. I’m only 5’8” and I feel cramped in it.

I also had a Ram 1500 classic crew cab V6 rental for about 3 months. Needed a full-size for work and crew cab to fit 2 car seats in back. Hated every second of it. But did get like 19-20 mpg.

Anyone ever found an alternative for the part from 803tundra, the -10an to barbed 7/8”. This is on my list to complete before I drive to Missouri

One way is to sleeve a smaller barbed end with a hose. Have searched at all for a fitting? Or a specialty local hose shop can whip a fitting up.

I used a piece of the push-lock hose that was used for the rest of it.

    Barb with bushing -

Parts - need 2x -10AN to hose barb fittings
