I already have CB +2 shackles and king OEM shocks with stock king valving, these made the “bed bounce” a little better. I just installed the deaver mini pack, off road they were great but on the 405 near LA the bed bounce is so much worse. I couldn’t keep driving my truck if that was my daily route. I’m gonna call deaver and maybe a shock tuner and see if I should revalve the shocks or get a different lead pack.

Did you leave the overload spring in or take it out?

I took it out, deaver does not say to leave it in for this pack. It’s a stiffer spring rate at ride height, but softer under compression then the stock pack with the overload.

Just to update, the ride softened up after a few hundred miles. I do still plan to valve the rear shocks, or possibly get longer ones. With the CB shackles and deaver mini pack my rear is lifted 2-2.5” and full rear droop is about 3” passed the king oem shocks travel.

This is where you will find the fix with shock tuning.

Great thing for you is @AccuTune Offroad is in CA and a vendor for the site.

I’m gonna give it a shot myself first, the rears are easy and quick to install so I feel like I could learn to do it in a day. Plus I always like an excuse to buy new tools. The fronts were already valved slightly softer by king before I installed them so it should still be balanced if I only do the rears.

Oh hell yeah! Have you checked out some of the shock tuning in the LT section?

I have a few things saved from when I originally wanted to do this about a year ago, have to go back and read them. I have no idea what the valving is from king, so I’ll probably just buy a good variety of shims so I can decide what I’m going to use after I open them up. I would like to add adjusters too, but the price of converting them over almost makes it worth it to just buy new shocks with adjusters and sell the old ones.

I would say driving around town on normal semi shitty roads it’s about the same, bigger dips it is noticeably more linear. There’s one deep dip in a road near my house that I will hit the front bump stops on, and the rear would hit the overload and buck back hard without touching the bump stop. With the deaver mini pack it’s a smoother hit. Although it still “feels” like leaf springs, if that makes sense. I think if I valve them “too” soft and run a super or hydro bump I would be happy.

That's where I would talk to Accutune. Also check out their website for valving advice. I have purchased a few items from them with quick delivery to my door.

Also don't be shy about calling King tech department. They have answered the phone during king of the hammers race.
