Right. When I call to get tracking, it also requires a train id. Typically 2-4 letters listed before the car number.

Mine have been in "F" status in "rail depart" since the 2/15. Any idea of time to Seattle, Wa area on these?

 

depending on a lot of variables, can take from 1-2 weeks for rail transport normally.

if there is rail issues cross reference a lookup between two dates to see if the location changes (look for the last sighting update and see if it changes)

 

Anyone have any insight as to why many trucks go from built/processing to on-rail within a day or two and others wait 2 weeks to hop on a train ride? Post-production installation of port-installed options or maybe a difference in rails/routes/volume?

I didn’t see the last sighting until you called it out. It’s in Kent, Wa as of yesterday.

 

last sighting only updates after it leaves the toyota hq railyard and once it arrives at the destination port.

railcar status will show destination port railyard after the "on rail from san antonio" TO "xxx"

the last part "last sighting" will give you status updates on the railcar as it passes different rail head locations until it reaches its destination then you will no longer get rail car updates. this will start a new status such as qc hold, inspection hold, stop/sale holds (if one of them applies) until its loaded to a transport carrier. once its loaded on a transport carrier, you only get a status update that it was loaded on a transport and wont get another update until it arrives at the dealer.
