WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

I like the idea of a locking storage lid for more than just the obvious anti-theft reasoning. If the truck was ever in a bad accident, particularly a roll over, everything under that seat is going to become a potentially dangerous projectile. Pretty odd that Toyota didn't provide any sort of latching mechanism to keep the seat down..

 

Received my diamondback hd today and have it sitting next to my cat shield…now just waiting for the trd pro to be delivered!

 

just got rid of our 18 plat ourselves last night. only regret is the dam connected services setup was an extended royal pita.

 

Added the lower light bar and ditch lights today. Highly recommend the Cali Raised switches. They are currently running the lights. I did not wire them in for backlighting.

 

Installed a set of N-FAB Predator Pro steps on my SR

 

Gentlemen, you gotta do the upgrade to a wireless winch controller. It's a huge quality of life improvement if you use a winch more than once in a blue moon.

 

Got these predator steps for good price from another member and got to install them today. No more jumping in and sliding out the truck (mainly for the wife). Install was super easy and the bolts were under the truck already

 

Those look great. Been waiting to find these tires and no one has them in my area yet

 

Does it power the winch with Bluetooth? jk
You have to go all the way back to under the seats to grab the 12V battery on the hybrids. Unfortunately

 

Looks great! I sort of miss my black 2015. What size are those tires? How's the noise level?

 

Ahhhh. I thought you were running your controller cable permanently into the cabin. I forgot the hybrids have their 12v batt in the cabin. What a pain in the butt. lol.

 

17x8 Method 316 w/+25 offset. Wrapped in Falken Wildpeaks 285-70R17 stock suspension no rubbing.

 

I like the Dobinson shocks and have improved ride quality. I think the combination with the Dobinson springs helps as well. I went with the 2 1/2" taller springs. My current setup handles alot better from factory, mostly on cornering at high speeds and absorbing larger dips, bumps on pavement.

 

Wash and a blow dry! Also I put on the TRD dial tip exhaust. I only started it for a few seconds. It didn't sound much different. I'll give some more feedback tomorrow when I drive it for a longer time. I had to remove the bed step though. There was an interference that couldn't be reconciled.

 

Could have asked in the other thread but does this require...or does anyone recommend...any new gasket, nuts, bolts?

 

It comes with new nuts and gasket.

 

Installed my @GG.Offroad camera relocation kit. Still working on the custom leer mount with GG, but so far it’s dialed!

 

285/75/18 (35x11.50x18) noise is minimal so far.

 

Every tire shop in my area thought I was crazy when I asked for a Falken R/T… I was lucky enough to find a set as they just have arrived at the local tire distributor warehouse.

 

do you know if this works with backup cameras as well? Pretty neat

 

not sure, this was designed to work with the rear view camera mirror (PVM) and bed camera

 

thinking about doing this to mine. Did removing the electronic bed step cause any error codes or messages on the dash?

Yes it threw some initial codes. I haven't driven it a lot since I did it. I'll spend some more time bending the exhaust down so I reinstall the steps. The step is pretty easy to drop.

 

silver 1794. I started the process of spraying my surround, blacking out the center, and the lower bumper today. Only one coat on lower bumper so blotchy in pic.

 

Did you relocate both the bed and rear view camera?

CBI Offroad Covert Bumper arrived along with a Rough Country Lightbar and Badland Apex 12,000 lb. Winch. Paired with Gear America Uber Shackles. Should be able to handle the mall parking lots now with ease - those speed bumps sneak up on you.
