Does anyone know if there’s a potato shortage going on? French fries are $6.99 at the market and they were $3.99 last week.

I guess I’ll try the market basket brand for $2.49. If it sucks, no more fries for me. I usually like fries with my fish.

Not that I'm aware of, but I keep seeing article after article in business periodicals showing grocery stores making absurd profits right now, suspiciously coinciding with the grocery pricing spikes ongoing. But it could never be, that major grocery chains would ever gouge the people, taking a note from the petroleum industry, right?

@daveeasa saw this and thought of you. Wrong color, but it looks like the whole package or something, maybe? Or just re-paint?

Nice. I’d consider it once I find a solution to the holes in my frame, otherwise it’s just necessary items only.

I have exactly that, airbag and wheel w audio. I only have a dual stage clockspring. But the clock is easy. Just not sure I love the grey. I’ll get a photo once I pick up my truck.

This arm puller from NAPA fits our truck perfectly. Well worth the $60.00. I'll be thankful I have it next time I go to replace my LBJ's. Good suggestion.

I'm not aware of any wheel and tire combos unfortunately. You'll probably have to order the wheels you want and pair them with the tire of your choice.

Glad it worked for you and that you got everything back together. That tool has other niche uses so it's nice to have around.

    I've got an important question.

If I wear this in London will I look like a tourist?

Yes. And an American at that. Unless you're a teenager. Large design logos on T-shirts is very American.

Do you think it would be even more touristy if he had a “the clash” shirt on?

I'm saying that the torque values differ by year, and I linked the associates specs accordingly.

I think he specked the castle nut, and you specked the actual lower ball joint bolts, which is different for different years

Even so, the castle nut torque is either 103, or 117 depending on the year

Good point concerning other years but since Eric has an 02, it's 103 ft/lb !

    00-03 103 ft lb
    04-06 117 ft/lb

    Bigger ball-joints = more torque.

To any that remember, I got my alternator installed in my Lexus. I think oil may have ruined it as it was pretty wet. Car doesn't leak oil on the ground or anything. I made sure to do the right thing and not fix the oil leak. Wasn't coming from the valve covers, and didn't find much about it online, I just needed my daily back running. I'm sure I'll be able to revisit this sooner than I'd like to but time will tell.

New serp belt and thermostat as well as I was already in there, seemed stupid not to just knock it out. Bled coolant and good to go, for now.

You're lucky as hell your Lex didn't burn to the ground.

That said, I hope you wiped everything down inside so you can check again in a few days to find the source of your leak.

And to that point, you may want to - and do it now, tonight so you can get on it ASAP - buy a leak detection kit with oil-soluble dye, the special light and glasses. Drop some in your crankcase. Drive the car for a few days. Then at night or in a dark garage, toss on the glasses and fire up the light to see where it's coming from.

They already don’t care much for us Americans so an ‘obnoxious’ tshirt would definitely not play well. I like the shirt though.
