Tundras to Sedona - 2023

Discussion in 'General Tundra Discussion' started by AT x AT, Oct 26, 2022.

?

To Overland or Not to Overland

  1. I would like to join an Overland Detachment.

  2. I would like to enjoy trail leader, lead day trip(s) and return back to base camp to sleep.

  3. I would like to explore the trails by me, myself and I.

I did that drive on 93 from T2S to Vegas. That was a very fast section of road, only thing you’ll see is a blur :D

Was 93 the road or the speed recommendation?

Google maps has given me at least 4 different routes the different times I've looked. Not sure which one we'll do yet.

Originally wasn't sure. But I'd have a hard time not having my own rig there.
I am still trying to get a couple notable folks to fly out, so might still get to do a Tundra escort...

Google maps is a liar. Just speed in the slow sections and you’ll get there faster than what google said you would.

Hey now, how’d you know what my stage name is? o_O

I was told last year a Gofundme was going to be started to get me into a Tundra. Not sure what the status of that is though. Maybe they’ll have it waiting there for me… :bananadance:

Allow me to clarify… I have NEVER been a fan of the Bidwell’s and was not a huge football fan of theirs. The baseball Cardinals is my lifetime favorite team.

The Bidwell’s for years cried, screamed and yelled they wanted a new stadium. They were always in the news for something. Finally they said build us a stadium or we are leaving. Farewell and good riddance!! Shortly after that the new stadium was built.

I worked for Dan Dierdorf for a company called Fox Pool Service and Marvel Pool Sales. I believe that was the name, this was back in 1975-79 time frame and I could not find anything online. Any way I worked for him and I was able to meet everyone of the team members because Dan had all of their pool contracts. I would go to work on their pools and every single one of them were AWESOME to meet except… Jim Hart, he was a Dick and not at all friendly. The nicest one I met was Conrad Dobler, he was awesome and took me all over his house showing me things and talking the entire time. I have to admit that was my favorite job
