    Good question!
I don’t WANT to, but I might do a snorkel. I would even mind a low rise snorkel that terminated at the bottom of the windshield

Found a write up on a hidden snorkel install. Pipped into the cowling but I would think there would be water there anytime it rained?… Guy says it improved his MPG too

    It’s covered with slats…..
That’s where your fresh air for AC comes in at, so it’s definitely exposed.
I didn’t hate the look of the shorty on the 4runner

The bottom of the windshield is a high pressure area. So it's possible that a ram air effect could be helping with mileage/efficiency.

Toyota Engineers did us a favor and thought ahead on that. The area where fresh air comes in is approx 3" up for about a ft compared to rest of trough and just above that cowl area there are no slats.

Depends on which bumper you go with. My Brute Force bumper didn't expose the intake except for a small area because I trimmed it by mistake. I actually patched it with a milk jug and zip ties. :anonymous:

Then I spray painted it black. No one has ever noticed.
