Catalytic converter shield and transmission fluid change

    Does the newly installed cat converter shield need to be removed in order to access the transmission for a fluid change. I just ordered a shield and want to know if I should service the tranny before installation. The truck has 58000 miles, and I like to do a drain and fill every 60,000. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

    Yes it will need to be removed.
