Tundras to Sedona - 2023

Discussion in 'General Tundra Discussion' started by AT x AT, Oct 26, 2022.

?

To Overland or Not to Overland

  1. I would like to join an Overland Detachment.

  2. I would like to enjoy trail leader, lead day trip(s) and return back to base camp to sleep.

  3. I would like to explore the trails by me, myself and I.

He's also got a Puscifer swag store there. Sometimes his wife is handling the day to day ops.

Yeah, it's just a couple of doors down from the wine shop. Maynard was at the wine store when we were and we also went to the swag store, but I wouldn't have recognized his wife if she was there.

Jerome is a cool little town to check out even if you don't like Tool. Better to go during the week, though. Gets packed. The Jerome Grand Hotel is fun to stay at. YouTube it if you're not familiar. I stayed there once already, and will be again on the way home from T2S

Which days are you peeps planning to arrive? I'll get there on Tuesday but will be doing the overland detachment, so I won't return to the T2S basecamp until Thursday afternoon.

I think I'll head out Monday. I honk a few of the homies are planning to arrive Tuesday.

I'm glad for you checking in to confirm that our detachment will return to join the main camp festivities on Thursday-- not Friday, as the registration sign-up suggested. With so many first gen homies making the trip this year, I don't want to miss out on the party! Or GFF!

@Explorer and I are planning on heading down to PHX over the weekend so we can actually hit our jobsite down there Monday. Depending on if a few other potential free-loaders I know decide to fly in to ride up there, we’ll either head up Tuesday or Wednesday from PHX.

I’m from northern IL, but have been in AZ for 14 years and it feels more like home now. The wife grew up in Marion, IL though, about 2 hours southeast of STL, so she’s a Cardinals fan :puke:

You know, the Cardinals are originally from Chichago (with the Bidwill family owing the team all along)
... so the franchise actually has Illinois, Missouri and Arizona covered.

Assuming you’re driving the way from WA to PHX that Google maps gave me; that stretch of 93 between Henderson
NV and kingman is littered with barn find vehicles. I could spend a week on that road knocking on peoples doors (hoping not to get shot) and checking out what they got.. you’re for sure going to have a beautiful ride whatever way you go
