So im about to rebuild my front end pretty much completely and am adding Bilstein 6112s to the front with 5160s in the back. 2 inch lift with the add a leaf.

Im torn between the Cooper discoverer AT3 4s and the Cooper discoverer AT3 LT. The main difference between them is weight and structural build. The 4s are a P-metric tire and the LTs are an LT-metric. They have almost identical tread pattern.
These are the specs of the 2 im considering:
    4s - P285/70/17 standard load, 45 lbs a tire. $260 a piece.
    LTs - LT275/70/17 load range E, 52 lbs a tire. $300 a piece.

The 4s provide better on road performance and will save in gas even though they are bigger, they are lighter. I keep seeing a split of people who have problems with P-metric tires getting punctured and not holding up well offroad which makes sense but this is my daily driver and probably a 90/10 onroad/offroad. I live in AZ and think about bigger rocks being a problem. But I go up north a lot too. I owned a set of Cooper Discoverer ATPs before (ugly ass tire) on a 2000 GMC Sierra and remember losing quite a bit of power. They were LT285/75/16, 56 lbs per. Does anyone have these tires im considering or does anyone off road in P-metric tires? Im just hoping the all-terrain tread will make up for it so I can run a bigger tire thats more pavement and $$ friendly.

I would go with P metric for on road primarily. But would really go with Michelin LTX for how long they would last.

I'm going to share this with you because someone else wasn't aware recently on a 2.5" lift and it bit them in the ass.

You should probably get extended swaybar links if you don't have them already. Before you install the lift so you can install them at the same time.

Have no opinion on the tire choice, but wanted to toss this other info out just in case.

Hey shifty. I'm just curious, I just installed a leveling kit on my 06 DC with some 285/70/17 k02's. There's rubbing when I turn right hard but seems fine. What kind of issues did the other person run into that made them have to put on extended sway bar links?

    Lack of full suspension travel
Clanks, clunks, and similar noises during travel
Rapidly blown out bushings on OEM links

But the most common I've seen on here is the middle of those three.
