To anybody with Old Man Emu leaf springs on their 07-21:

Are you using poly bushings or OE rubber bushings?

I went with poly for the “added performance” but I’m tired of the squeaks (yes they were installed correctly)

I can quiet them with silicon spray but they squeak again in a week

Thinking about swapping to the OE bushings, do they fit the Emu spring eyelets?

You don't have the OME greasable bushings/shackle kit? An example below is for a Tacoma but pretty sure they make them for the Tundra Need the bushings also

Had em, removed them cause I put on Toytec lift shackles and those pins were no longer compatible. Bushings still squeaked with the greasable pins.

Weird. Had OME once and then Ironman on another vehicle, never had any squeaking issues with the springs and greasable bushings. Hope you can find a solution

Pull em out, clean the snot out of them and the shackle, reassemble with lithium grease. I’ve got plenty of poly bushings on my blazer and those are the one thing that don’t squeak on that truck. Had poly on the lowering shackles on the 2020 Silverado and after 3 years still no squeaks and I never added grease past the initial install.

    Update…

ARB gave me an ID measurement of 40mm on the dakar leaf spring eyelets, but I can’t find the OD measurement of Toyota’s bushing. Part guy at my local toyota didn’t have one to measure either. If anyone has this measurement it would be extremely helpful…

Are you sure it's not the leaf pack squeaking as the springs flex? I know you said silicone spray helped, but was any sprayed on the springs, maybe over spray? Just an idea because I have seen several people complain about the springs themselves squeaking.

good thought, however, when I listen with an automotive stethoscope, all the squeaking is coming from the rear leaf spring bushing where it marries to shackle. The dakar leaf springs are notorious for squeaking though. When I added the aal to this pack I slathered the pack with marine grease between all the leafs and this seemed to help.

Also, if anyone could provide the inner diameter measurement of factory leaf spring eyelets (07-21) that would tell me right away if the stock bushings would be compatible with my dakar springs…
