After calling dealerships all over CO and UT I finally found a dealership that was willing to look at their allotment (crazy right? every other dealer just pulled up the toyota builder) and see if they had something coming that fit my requests. It didnt take long for them to send a build sheet and receive my deposit.

I attached a copy of the build sheet but I cannot replicate this build. The whole TRD 4x4 package and the TRD skid plate does not configure on the website. I asked the dealer and they informed me it was the one piece TRD Skid Plate. What am I missing here?

    Thank you in advance

So your truck has a Trd package - rear locker, crawl modes, Trd shocks - all good stuff. In addition to this, it also has a Trd skid plate (aluminum plate) which is a separate option - good thing to have as well.

You can certainly add the Trd package to SR5 trim, then you just add the skid plate option.

I would think that the Trd package should already include the Trd skid plate in it (description does mention it). So I'm not sure why they're charging you for an extra Trd skid plate option $380... Maybe it's some other additional skid plate? You should ask them this or maybe someone else will explain it here.

Have you considered getting the surround 360* cameras? It helps a lot if you need to do tight parking maneuvers..

Not quite. So within the descriptions that I have read about all of the packages, a skid plate is offered but when you try to add the one piece TRD Skid on the configurator it not only cancels out the TRD package on the build but the majority of the SR5. Give it a shot, maybe Im too stupid to replicate this build accurately

Just seeing your edit- absolutely correct, why the charge if the package includes the skid plate? Also look at the pricing- its not the same price as when you try to add the plate on their configurator. I asked the dealer and the response I got was that it was the one-piece TRD off the configurator.

As far as the silly cameras: this aint my first truck

This build is very similar to mine. I have the same Off-Road Premium package and the TRD Skid plate was a separate option.

Personally I think a bed liner is a bit of a waste. It’s a composite bed already, I don’t really get what a spray in bed liner is adding that a $150 bed mat wouldn’t do for you, and then it can be removed or replaced as needed. Also I think there are better steps available aftermarket for less money than the predator steps.

I opted to not get the convenience package as well. Blind spot monitoring is wasted on me and I’ve had it on lots of cars and never found it useful. What’s interesting is that the package also says it adds front and rear parking assist and auto braking. My truck doesn’t have that package but does have front/rear sensors with proximity warning, distance graphic on dash and auto braking. So other than BSM I’m not sure what the difference is.

In hindsight I might have paid for the PVM surround view. I’m not totally sure how much I would have used it but it does look cool.

Also living in the PNW I gotta have all weather floor mats (they are cheap too). I have the heated stearing wheel which is nice on my pre-arthritic hands, but probably not that big of a deal to most.

The skid plate in the TRD Off-road package is a nylon plastic cover. It doesn’t say “TRD skid plate” just “skid plate”. Without the TRD off-road package, you would be getting a cloth material cover instead of a nylon plastic cover.
The aluminum TRD skid plate is an added option to replace the plastic cover if you get the TRD off-road package.

The Toyo website does not match reality. It has frequently displayed you had to buy all packages together in bulk but stickers on lots have them individually available. Then what the package contains seems fluid as well.

I think the best information source is a actual stickers online. They show what configurations are actually being produced for a region. The Toyo builder is more of an approximation

The front skid plate and all the others are pretty flimsy. You would think TRD Off-Roads would get the real front skid but negative.

I was extremely disappointed when I saw my skid plate on my TRD Off road optioned SR5 Tundra. Like really?!
