Capstone is home, but with no remote start functionality

Just picked up my 2023 Capstone, but the darn thing won’t start remotely. The app says it’s running when it’s not and even using the fob doesn’t work. Anyone else had this issue?

 

Not to ask a dumb question, but your remote start service is active correct? You can check it on the app on the phone

Is it possible it’s ‘running’ in EV mode with the engine not firing up yet?

 

Def likely. I have a hybrid 1794 and often times it’s on battery power when remote started if not very cold.

 

Now that you mention it, my fuel shuts off all the time and sits on battery

Mine has always used the ICE when it remote starts, but it has been colder lately. Is the instrument panel on when it remote starts? Sounds like a trip to the dealer to sort it out might be needed. Btw, nice truck!
