    Is the tube from here?

How do you get it with the MAF mount?

4.5" to match up with prospeed, but you can run whatever size you want with the appropriate filter and reducer for the throttle body, will require tuning when changing inlet diameter.

Yes it was a custom order through MRP. Email them and you tell them your specs like what OD, length, MAF, and screen/no screen they will come back with a quote. Took about two weeks from order to delivery for an order of two. Quality is excellent like their other products.

It is still a bit of a frankenstillen, pretty ghetto fabrication. I'm still using a roof flashing and a duct coupler to seal the air box hole. For off the shelf products that hole is sealed up pretty good though. Desperate times require desperate measures.

Lol, that seriously looks so much better though. I’d run it myself if I didn’t have to spend a ton of money to fab up the same thing. I admire your air intake budget, you’ve had all the pricey options as you have been striving to make the perfect one. That looks perfect between being 4.5”, the honeycomb a few inches before the MAF, and being a true cold air box with a little Ram air action on the front from the stillen box.

    $173 for 8 inch w/MAF or $207 for 8 inch w/MAF + Screen not including S&H.

In my case 8 inch was just about right falling about 1/2" from mouth of the air box with enough play on the TB end to angle the intake. I made up the rest with some fuckery using a hump coupler and the big filter 6" to 4.5" bellmouth adapter. Roof flashing and duct couple to seal the hole since I don't have fancy shit like a 3D printer. Leaves enough room to change out the filter without too much hassle.

I have an AFE box, just looked, it's pretty big on the box side. I'll be tuning when the SC goes in so if it already has this that'll be fine.

Hopefully between the huge coupler the AFE came with and something similar at the TB side I'll make it cause I ordered that one :p

    Thanks!

Thanks. I was worried that the length would be off but I am happy with how it came out.
You are correct, after all is said and done it is not cheaper than the PS :spending:. Stillen is $350-450 + $200 for the tube and the $$ spend on couplers, clamps and fittings. The filter was around $100 too. Shelf looks like a freakin boost catalog. The upside is I'm not seeing high IATs +50 over ambient and my temps drop fairly quickly too.

Good luck and be patient. There may be some trial and error in getting all the fitment right. I wanted everything reversible just in case I couldn't get it to work hence why I went with the ghetto fabrication using off the shelf parts.

Post pics when you get it right would love to see this done with other boxes. For what PS charges for it's box it is shamefully fabricated. They easily make double to triple on that box.

Keep in mind AFE is making a Tundra S/C air box from what has been posted here.

    I'm using this AFE filter:

Looking through @e30cabrio stock datalogs, the stock 5.7 @ ~1000ft elevation is at nearly 85% injector duty cycle. Not surprising then that a "stage 1 harrop" runs out of fuel, considering there is minimal headroom with the stock injectors and stock engine.

Airaid supposedly used to make this pretty sweet Intake just for supercharged tundras. I guess they stopped when the demand wasn’t there.

That one looks like it would seal up fairly well. Unlike some of the other hot air intakes I've seen of similar design.

Wish I had room for that giant asymmetrical filter. Never happy this one.

Mating to the opening will be tricky with the power steering resi in that spot if I am not mistaken. Doable though. He could mock something up if he wanted to replicate the Stillen. Catch cans will be in the way too if he has them.

Dusted the MPV!2+ off & connected it to the laptop I use for cars, not seen, tried numerous ports & cables no, eventually it said it needed a firmware update I clicked OK, the green light has been flashing since about 7:25PST created a ticket about 7:27, no phone number is available, happy I'm not.

There was an update to the program, no go, they responded I needed to do a bunch of things that REQUIRE IT COMMUNICATING. Eventually, after numerous reboots I got it to communicate.

The irritating thing is they made no suggestions outside after you fix the issue send us logs & files you will get when it works. I don't need help after it works.

Minor update. So the MRP intake is a true 4.25" ID which is smaller than ProSpeed. Prospeed is hard to measure since it is elliptical and not 4.5" across at every point. Not exactly an equivalent substitute since it has about ~11% smaller cross section; probably smaller with the screen installed. Could explain the rich bank codes I saw on very very cold days.

Truck started fine but had a slightly rough idle. Drove fine. Scheduling a retune to get everything right.

Ya, HF 20 ton press. Decent price at $230. Getting so close to being finished! The fuel lines/rails com in Monday. Really hoping to hot rod this thing around town next weekend!

@Fastlane47 what fittings did you use? I've been looking for some 1/2" NPT Male to 3/4" Barbed connectors. One preferably at a 45* angle, the other could be straight. For the bottom connection, between the IC pump and Intercooler, I was going to get two 90* 3/4" Barb connectors to make the necessary 180* turn.
