He is a European Great Dane. His dad was a champion at 210 lbs. He thinks he is a lap dog though.

Aussie cattle dog and some species of pointer? She’s being borded at a foster right now, we have a visit tomorrow for approval. Maybe a pick up next week after her final vet visit

Family gift, kids are finally of an age they can contribute to care, and most of the kids toys are out of the house, or at least of the size they can be put away.

Brothers Tank and Jake turn 14 today. That's there girlfriend Pepper.

 

We were looking at Heeler/Cattle dog mix also BUT Florida ,especially central Florida just had a "Run" on puppies being dumped and one

litter is of assorted color Lab/mixes..

Renovation should be done this weekend and then the "Dog joining Family" gets Real I will need something to do with my FREE time and training

a Dog should be cheaper than training Bourbon bottles

We just adopted a rescue puppy about two weeks ago. High food motivation is working out well for training. He's not supposed to be on the couch... But otherwise a perfect addition.

 

I have a feeling he will be growing into that collar! Good on you for rescuing him!

Yeah, I think you are right. We have zero idea what his parents are as he was abandoned with 15 other pups at a vet, however his paws are big (hard to see in the photo). Based on what we beleive his age to be, figure he will be around 75-100 lbs.

Overall his demeanor is perfect for us, but he like to put his paws up on things which we are working on. He seems like a mix of a bunch of things, Hound, Flat-coat Retriever, American Staffordshire Terrier... We are planning to get a kit and do some genetic testing to ease my curiosity.

This is Tyson. Our bullador (Ambulldog + choc
Lab) that passed away in 2021 after almost 15 yrs.



I didn’t think I would get another pup but after a year our family decided to get Arthur (pure yellow lab) who was 8 weeks at the time and now is 14 months old

 

This morning I had to have my little buddy Peanut put to sleep. She's been with us for 14 years and was a great friend and companion to both me and my wife. When my wife was sick Peanut wouldn't leave her side. She knew how to ask how to go outside, and was a very good watchdog. She loved going for rides in the car and get very excited when she would see rabbits while on a car ride. She loved chasing lizards and laying in the sun and going hiking. .

I can't believe how much I miss her.

 

So sorry to see this, pal. We went through this with Tyson. It's a process. But looks and sounds like Peanut had a comfortable life.

I just hit a year anniversary with my wife’s dog she got in college that I had the joy of having 6 years with. It’s rough

 

I am SO sorry to hear about this! It sounds like you made her life a Heaven on Earth. I have a 13 yo who is slowing down a lot, and I am not looking forward to having this decision to make. I hate leaky eyes right before bedtime.
