Hmmn, if several of us were looking, it could have been worth it to seek a discount…
… but now my scarcity mindset has me motivated to collect and hoard ‘em. ;)

Most watched program of the entire year, every year. I don't watch it but I hear the commercials are where it's at
That must be an old pic since you lost that in the boating incident...:spy:..right?

I'll park at Panda Xpress and order online, and then walk in and get my food before people that were already in line when I pulled up. Almost feel guilty, like I'm cutting in line
Ahh, storage facility... It was only a matter of time huh?

Any of you homies watching? I love the Super Bowl— the game and the commercials. Arranged my day around it… and I’m already pissed. The tribute to first responders that just happened excludes cops. As does Luke Bryan’s latest hero song. Total BS that we cannot figure out how to move forward in this country without cancelling entire groups— whose individual members haven’t done the horrible actions causing harm. I’m watching at home today because our usual hosts are a police family, many of whom are working. You know, because they follow through on commitments. Not cool.

I’m watching. But I’m you’re typical fair weather fan, I generally watch the Super Bowl and also the playoffs (if the Pats are in it).

My sister has told this story to me before; we are swimmers…..
I think her freshman year oh HS, the swim team and the football team switched practices……..
(The football coach was a known hard ass and kinda had a legacy at the school in the football dept)
Word is, the swim kids killed it at the football practice, and the football players got killed doing the swim practice.
Every swim meet we had after that, the football coach would show up in support. Kinda cool.
A lot of my friends tried to do swim team, I think a few of them just did it to see me in a Speedo, but almost all of them ended up quitting because, well it’s not easy Hahahah

I need to buy a 4k OLED this year. 4K OTA broadcasts just came to my area last month and the Super Bowl is now being broadcast in 4k.

Edit: My mistake. The Super Bowl isn’t broadcast in 4k OTA even though it could be done. Just found out.

For work jams? Or just general home jams! I need more jams in my life, usually I just listen to the sweet sound of my hammer or grinder in my garage, and wonder how many of my neighbors enjoy it as much as I do? I know for a fact, at least two do hahahah

My wife is dog/house sitting for her boss again so we're watching the game at their place. We spent an hour trying to get direct TV to work only to find out their landscaper cut the cord outside.

Going through filing cabinets doing inventory. Found a pair of boots I forgot that I ordered... I've had them since 2020 apparently.... unopened until today.
    Screenshot_20230212_180118_Amazon Shopping.jpg
    20230212_180209.jpg

That means that I've had the current pair of boots for at least 4 years, 3 jobs, at least 5 pairs of laces, countless hours wrenching on the Yoders, countless oil slicks at Bilstein, these boots are the ones I was wearing when I got hit with 480, these boots have carried me through some tough shit, and here I am. A gleaming turd of self preservation, and mechanical ability.

    Anyways, on to pictures...

I will say, supply chain issues are still a thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if they disco'd it.

Normal. Mine does too. Most of my trucks have. I've never owned a truck newer than this '06. My previous newest was '03. Before that, '98. Before that, all was 80s and earlier.

    Watching now.

And yes, I agree with you. We all need to normalize centrism. Everything is radicalizing to opposite ends of the spectrum. Middleground used to be the norm, what we all strive for, it's not the case anymore. That 's ultimately what kept us "together" on things. You can't be together on anything when each side is constantly painting the other as an enemy.

I'm sick of the shit. There's no "pure" anything, it's not black and white, it's mostly shades of grey. Those of us who understand everything is grey just need to be doggish about calling out when others are painting narratives in only black or white strokes. It's the only way it'll ever get better.

Meanwhile, if anyone knows someone who needs coilovers, Toytec's having a 15% off sale tomorrow thru Feb 15th on the (Elka rebranded) Aluma Boss. Out the door should put you under $900 for the fronts. Toss in some Billy 5100s out back ... and you're under $1400.

    Damn.

"Honey, the dryer is turning on but not spinning".

Stick my head in the door. Smell a faint whiff of rubber.

Sure enough, pop the lid off the dryer, and there's a nice worn spot where the belt had been running. Found remnants of old belt in the bottom of the dryer.

Need to do laundry this week at some point, so ordered "Genuine" Frigidaire belt on scAmazon for delivery Tuesday.

Anyone wanna bet whether I get an authentic part?

Close! Almost all Frigidiare is made by Electrolux. The unit we've got is probably 15yo at this point and the sticker says it was made in Augusta, GA (90min east of ATL)

It would be super funny if there was a grammatical typo "Menthol's" on that one sticker.

Clothes'd be frozen overnight with the little microclimate we've got.

We're really close friends with our neighbors. Just split up loads between their two homes and good to go.

Clotheslines wouldn’t work for me. Either the lawn mowing crew is blowing green clipping from the lawn mower on it or the HOA is complaining when I try to mount a line on a pulley to the tree from my 2nd story window.

Oh, was picturing festooning clothes on hangers, shower curtain rods, exercise bicycle , interior door moldings. Glad you got it done easy!

But, yeah, we have to be creative when we visit family in England; here in SoCal, the weather hardships… aren't really.
