Seems like first Gen tundras and sequoias are gaining in popularity on social media and YT. Hopefully that means more aftermarket support

I’ve tried to scroll thru most of this thread, what all are our options for front tube bumpers? I kinda like 4x4labs but it’s not full tube……
    And I guess there’s addicted

As our trucks age, finding aftermarket support becomes increasingly difficult. My '05 Tundra came with a crushed rear factory bumper. I'd really like to find a functional aftermarket bumper that has foot holds to access the rack on top of my shell. Most of what I find is geared towards those who are thrashing their trucks off roading--fine if that's your thing, but finding a practical after market bumper has been a challenge.

Would love to see this from all angles once it's out of paint. While not perfect, I think it's in the right direction. Brute Force is way too bulky for the lines.

ARB is the only company that still makes a bumper that I DON'T have to weld together myself, and isn't a minimalistic off road tube bumper. Looks like I might have to turn to a machine/weld shop to build me a rear bumper. I really like the basic looking Reunel real bumpers. Clean lines and a nice looking bumper. But they stopped making them. If my stock bumper wasn't crushed from the previous owner I wouldn't even look for one. I like ARB's front bumper. When finances allow I might pick one up.

I remember hearing that certain year Tacoma arb bumpers will work on our trucks with some modifications. You can find that info somewhere on here. My search skills are atrocious compared to @shifty` Might be easier to source a used taco arb if you’re going that route.

I had asked a shop about Tacoma bumpers as their size is closest to our Tundras, and they said the mount points don't line up. BUT, that might be my best bet. I'm sure a good welder/machinist can modify a Tacoma off road bumper to fit our Tundra's.

I’m curious about that too. I have my Brute Force hybrid from my 14 Tacoma that I’ve been wondering whether I make work on the tundra.

See, I really like that ARB bumper. The safari one is the only one that ARB still carries for our first Gen Tundra's.

On a side note, the picnic bench holding up the truck under a jack stand is making me cringe in hopes it doesn't snap in half. lol

Which model year range Tacoma does that ARB bumper fit? I might have to see if I can find one and have custom mounts done as well. I don't weld as my eyes are hyper sensitive to light (even with a welding helmet on), so I'll have to have someone fabricate for me. Looks clean. I like your rear bumper as well.

I did reach the folks at Reunel about a rear bumper for my 2005 Tundra and they quoted me at $1,650. So... looks like I'll be getting an aftermarket stock bumper for about $250 +/-.

I'm interested in a bumper for Crackie down the road. Always really liked the Tacoma bumper on these trucks that's posted above. I'd be willing to pay someone to make an additional set of mounting brackets, and ship them to me unless it involves cutting the bumper. Haven't read that much into it yet. Adapter brackets available would be great for all members.

It's a bummer that a majority of the manufacturers aren't making bumpers for our First gen's anymore. ARB's front bumper is kind of goofy looking. But it provides it's purpose.

Are there any hidden winch mounts available for the first gen's?

Hey guys, just joined a couple weeks ago. Retrofitted a 100 series LC ARB bar to my 05 RCLB.

Do you have pics of the retrofit? That's exactly what I want for my RCLB. I want to be a trail busting, cracked out, whacked out, deer killing, turkey smacking, lead footed killing machine.

Haha I'll see if I can find some decent ones, I did it in the driveway on a day off so I was kinda in a hurry and didn't take many pictures.

Chassis rails themselves are similar enough w/ the land cruiser that with a little grinding the brackets fit up without much trouble. Getting the bar attached to the mounts was the hard part because the distance between the frame rails is different.

ARB takes their brackets pretty seriously and to my eye they looked to be 1/4 inch steel. The bar itself looked to be 1/8 inch steel.

It was basically a matter of test fitting, measuring, and trimming for a few hours to get the bar positioned right and tacked in place. I reinforced the attachment points between the mounts and the bar by welding on some 1/4 steel angle, then welded everything up.

Used Rust-oleum Hardhat to seal it after.
