Backup camera works occasionally. Doesn’t work at all when it rains. Cleaned plug under tailgate/spare tire area with electrical cleaner and seemed to work at first but stop working again. Works occasionally at this point. Any help will be greatly appreciated….Thanks

The rearview camera is a pretty simple system. Not too much to go wrong. Sounds like it's bad wiring somewhere.

Is this a factory setup or aftermarket? Aftermarket will probably be easier to diagnose because the wires don't disappear into a giant wiring harness. I'd start by checking all connections, especially at the tailgate side where things move around opening/closing the tailgate.

Since you saw results after cleaning the connector that's where I'd look. If you found corrosion before it may have traveled deeper to the wires where they are crimped to the connector.
