Went out to Merus adventure park this weekend with the local offroad group. Boondocked by the cabin one of them rented.

We love it! In 2020 we bought a retro pop up and restored it, buddy had an opus and we loved it. In early 21 one became available locally and my wife’s friend worked at the dealership so we jumped on it. Sold the restored pop up for a huge gain and got a great deal on the opus. We have 40 or so trips on it including some really nasty stuff getting lost in Moab but it’s hands down been a game changer especially with a kid. We have another one on the way and stoked for this summer, lots of solo time with my 2 year old planner while mom and new baby are at home.

Maybe I shouldn't be using one of these if I have to ask . . . But what's the weight limit on these things?

lol... I hear you there.... Tuffstuff website says weight capacity is 800lbs... I would think your rack limit would come into play first.

Either of you guys have a tonneau cover? I am looking at this set up with Napier for a future road trip to cut down on motel costs, but I have a Bakflip MX4, so it has the panel that fold up against the cab. Im wondering if that is an issue with this type of tent?

    Tks

@gmcguire7220 I don't have a tonneau cover but am also curious if I were ever to get one. I'll be using my Napier tent this weekend and will measure how much room there is between tent and cab. I throw a cot in the back of mine.

I used to tow this Winnebago with the Tacoma in the picture. The Tundra makes it sooooooo easy.

Not really a camping trip but more of a fun/solid day at the beach.

Hey folks, do you all take your tents down in the off season? And do you all run a diesel heater for heat in the cold?

Just picked up a Napier Backwoodz for a road trip to PA. Should work fine instead of a hotel room. The best part is that I used a performance bonus from work to buy it, so $0.00 out of pocket. The middle bed strap goes to the upper shock tower. I'm going to add some neoprene straps so the bed doesn't get scratched by the straps.

Just took our 34’ FunFinder (about 7500lbs) to the lake spot this weekend to park it. It’s a 70 mile drive. Pics show MPG for the towing trip and then the empty return home trip. The tundra pulled like a champ.
