Blue Loctite does not work on sst screws unless you use a pretreatment. Iron activates the adhesive.

My “go to” santoku (i use 99% of the time because i haven’t yet bought a RTK kitchen knife) has them, and I find with certain things it seems to help break the “sticking” to the knife. Particularly when making thin slices of larger things with a lot of water content like tomatoes, potatoes, or larger cucumbers and zucchini. Some of it is probably in my knife handling style too, where I am making long horizontal slicing motion while cutting (I rarely use “chopping” movements)…which is why the santoku is my favorite kitchen knife.

I have two knives of the same steel and blade width that I use fairly frequently. The western cook's knife sticks to food a little more (for potatoes, way more) than the santoku with a granton edge. I would presume random dimples over the whole blade would do the same thing. Eager to see your work.

Gyuto chefs knife with 8.75” blade of canister Damascus from ball bearings and powdered steel. The scales are AZ cholla cactus skeleton, dyed, stabilized and cast in translucent orange epoxy. I expect the divots from the etch to function similar to a granton edge 1E913454-251E-4385-9CAE-155B287D4917.jpgFEDB0D5C-7F77-4CB7-989D-96E5C7E3ED4B.jpgA8E8AA94-E0FD-4D8C-BB2C-857B98FA2B08.jpg490A717D-D952-4284-A139-8735F5B33651.jpg

This one is available, but I don’t have it posted yet. My brother runs the website and it usually takes about a week for him to get around to it, lol

Snagged a couple new things Friday… one being another bounty hunter Microtech, the other being a cut from choking up in this kinda funky shaped knife and ejecting the blade into my finger :tinfoilhat:
