After a lot of indecision and crap posting asking how to wire grille lights I just went ahead and installed them today.

It took me about 3 hours and 3 beers. I went with the little 3/4 smoked button lights because it it hard to tell they are there when the truck is off. They also installed easily with just a 3/4 inch hole drilled into the bulge mesh. I ran the wires through the back side of the bulge rear cover and zip tied the wires all up. The wire to the fuse box is ran though the hood inside wire loom covering. I finally just decided to hook them the the IGN fuse using a fuse tap. The lights were $16 for 10 so I have spares, and if they go to crap I can always just replace the whole bulge mesh screen.

Serious question. Did you mistype, only 3 beers during a 3 hour garage project?

Well the story is really worse than I let on or disclosed. I actually ran out of beer I didn't bother to go get anymore. I usually have my growler filled at a local micro-brewery so I was forced to drink the 3 Miller High Life's like a poor person.

Nothing wrong with Miller, I'm a Miller Lite drinker, bur running out of beer is unacceptable, period, never, ever. You should always have a suitable supply on hand. If you don't already, immediately purchase a second refrigerator to dedicate to beer.

Also, when you grabbed that 1st beer, you would have noticed your supply shortage. At this point, the project should have been put on hold while you ran to the store, or even better, sent the wife to do so.

I expect better of a fellow AZ resident, don't let us down again.
