A few trucks on the last allocation had it so it's available now. It's Color-Keyed Door Handles And Bumpers, Black Overfenders, Black Fabric Seats, Painted 18-In. Alloy Wheels, And SX Decal.

Updated the list again...added a Platinum crewmax non-hybrid that fell through today. Keep in mind, this one is still sold at MSRP.

Had someone request an update, so here's a few other available after last round. I'll tell you guys one thing...they are still keeping production low on these. They made 368 gas models and 77 hybrids total in Central Atlantic Toyota on last allocation. That's spread over 135 dealers so you can do the math....

Think I held out for one more allocation. No sequoia TRD pro?

unfortunately no. They built 17 total sequoias on the last allocation. Absolutely brutal

Thanks for the update. This has been nice to follow. I truly enjoy it.

In your opinion, do you believe this is a ploy/the plan by Toyota to artificially stay ahead of the supply/demand curve?

I don't think anything is planned except to build as many cars as possible for them. The supply chain issue for chips remains the battle that no one will figure out anytime soon (this is why half of you are waiting months to receive your second key fob). Toyota has an ego now that it is the #1 volume manufacturer in the world and they don't intend to lose that status. It's been made very clear to us that they will build as many vehicles as possible but that will come as a sacrifice to the dealership level because they will just build "base model" vehicles. You can make 2-3x as many vehicles when they require way less chips. Toyota really doesn't care about the markup thing because they get paid the same once the vehicle is wholesaled to a dealer so the name of the game is giving dealers as many vehicles as possible. The Tundra/Sequioa will remain victim to low production as it has the newest technology and is the most cumbersome to build (hybrids? Good luck lol).

Wow... So seems like the $5-10k markups for high-end trims and hybrids are here to stay then

It really depends on the region too. I can only speak for Central Atlantic Toyota but I know there aren't any regions getting tons of these vehicles so yes, I anticipate this markup frenzy to continue for those dealers that do them.

There are dealers offering MSRP prices if you look hard enough. Just picked up a Tundra 1794 4x4 (non-hybrid) 5.5 bed in Scranton, Pa yesterday at msrp. Also got a fair amount for my trade in. No other financing or extended warranties purchased. Only had to wait 2 weeks since it was in transit. Other dealer in my area (northern NJ) were at a minimum of 3k over MSRP. Sure I had to ride 1.5 hours, but it was worth it.

lol no offense man but I work in the industry and have a very good understanding of what’s going on. Believe me when I say no one will be begging customers to buy them anytime soon on high end hybrids. Can you find a good deal at end of month for a little month off ? Sure (has to do with how we earn cars). Can you find a lower trim level for money off ? Absolutely. Finding limited/platinum hybrids will be extremely difficult to find at true MSRP with nothing added on for a long time to come.

It’s crazy that I really don’t have a waitlist for 1794 editions. Even back in the gen 2 versions, we never sold them. It must just be my location.

Before covid, I think our store got 1 single 2wd truck by accident in the 7 years I had worked there at that point. Since the chip shortage, they have given us a decent amount of them. We simply have to discount them heavily and hope to find someone from way out of state. To answer your question though, 2wd accounts for maybe 5-10% of what we get now so it’s not too bad.

A platinum slipped through cracks. Both people on list for a silver one declined it due to it arriving quicker than anticipated. Very confusing to me but none the less, it's available!

Think availability and pricing is very regional. Tundras sitting on lots down here for MSRP. SR's all the way up to Capstones. The TRD Pro finally shows sale pending after 3 weeks. It was a solar octane.

I know this is laughable, but we are in the market for a Sienna. Preferably a 25th Anniversary, but we're thinking a XSE with the premium is more in line with our budget. Do you show anything there? PM is fine if you don't want to clog this thread.

I will certainly PM you if you want to get into more detail but I just like sharing everything out in the thread so everyone can read about what's actually going on. To answer your question as professionally as possible, it is indeed laughable to try and secure a Sienna at this point. I'm not sure what is going on with them but they have built far fewer Sienna's than even the Tundra. They built 445 Tundras on last allocation...135 Sienna's.... lol. The 25th Anniversary will only make it more difficult to get as well. My only advice is to find a dealer that will let you be on multiple lists and see what comes first.

The best I've found, here in the PNW, for a TRD Pro is @2k over msrp. They might have a solar octane for me, so fingers crossed. Otherwise the only truck I have my name on is $5K over msrp.

I feel like they are almost trying to 86 the Sienna line in favor of the Highlander. I know the Sienna isn't as desirable, but being built in the same plant yet seeing more Highlanders available makes the mind think.

Don't worry about professionalism with me through this thread. I'd rather you be straight about it than be a typical salesmen.

I'm not so sure it's as much about 86ing the Sienna as it is just pushing out as many highlanders as possible. Yeah I'm sure there's way more demand for the Highlander but just like the Sequoia, there's still a strong market.

My cousin traded in a '20 Highlander for a '21 Sienna and never looked back.

We got t-boned in the HL on Thanksgiving and are using this opportunity to check out the Sienna. We like it more than the Highlander in certain aspects having an 8 and 6 year old. The HL is great, but the Sienna is better for our situation.

Once again, Toyota is driving my nuts to where the 23 HL has wireless CarPlay now, but the 23 Sienna doesn't.

I think you can add a module aftermarket and turn it into wireless CarPlay.

    not to hyjack this thread

the 4th gen Sienna are really improved, we had a rental last year XLE. we have a 25th anniversary AWD being built on monday.

That's impressive because I live 10 minutes away from that dealer and they try to gouge me every time and I end up telling them go pound sand. When you tell them no they let you walk and then call you 3 days later with the same exact deal.
