Actually I found it to be more of an issue when it’s cold and the rubber isn’t as soft. Once the tires warm up it’s fine.

 

Finally have some legit mobile comms installed in the truck!

$346 Icom IC-2730a Dual Band VHF/UHF 50W Mobile Radio

Icom IC-2730a radio with magnetic display plate, using the same UT-72 dual band mag mount antenna I had before. Haven’t had a chance to test it out in the real world, but seems to work well for NOAA channels and a quick check with my handheld.





I screwed up my Air sticker on the SP9100 pad, but I got notification of a new set of HLK-12 legends shipping from Hotshot Offroad earlier today.

This is an issue in super-cold regions (northern Canadadia and Alaska) where the tires will actually freeze with a flat spot and it takes a couple miles for them to warm up enough to work it out. But I've never heard of it being an issue on the surface of the sun... (and have never had such an issue with mine here in the PNW).

 

It definitely happened more when I was running close to stock pressures on mine. Once I bumped it up to 35-37 it was much less of an issue.

My tires do the same but I do not drive it often. I work from home and live in a retirement community where my Golf Cart can get me to a number of Clubhouses I am a member in. I have more miles on the Golf Cart than my Tundra I think. LOL

After a few miles it is gone. I make sure I take it out at least once a week. Heading up to Sedona next weekend if I can get my axle boot sealed. I am loosing some grease after the RCV install

Modified my OCD center console organizer to work with the radio chassis. Still plenty of room for all my chit!
