I have a 2020 and I know some tundras came with remote start and keyless? Any ideas of what parts or how difficult it would be to make the swap? Factory parts would be ideal and not an afternarker system.

If you have a 2020 that has a physical key you're actually better off going with an aftermarket remote start like 12volt solutions because your truck will not shut off when you open the door. Factory remote starts shut off when the door is opened for all models and all remote starts shut off when the door is opened with push button starts.

Oh wow. 12vsolutions option looks pretty good. Can still use the stock key and keep it clean. Not bad. Thanks!

I do, I just have the normal one that you can start with the key fob, didnt go with the added cell phone module but can always be added on later. Install was straight forward and they supply you instructional videos, they used to be on youtube but now they only supply them after purchase.

Wasn't there another option besides 12V that was simpler to install? I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: not totally sure but I think it is this one.

I don't think there was one simpler to install I think it was the tech 12 volt one is cheaper or maybe the one that's available on Amazon but the 12 volt solution one is definitely super easy with great instructions and customer support. All these remote start brands all used the same remote start modules that you can program for different vehicles The companies themselves basically just supply the wiring harnesses they all even use the same app if you go with the cell phone start option.

Ok my bad. I know there is another thread on this and it seemed there was a better one than the 12V according to it. Kinda busy so can't search right now. Mainly wanted to tell the OP there are other options. But if they are all the same it doesn't matter.

I’m trying to search for it now. If you think of it let me know. If they are the same, I might as well save some $

I’ve had the 12volt solutions in my 19’ for two years now and love it. Easy install as well

Do these remote start upgrades unlock the door when the vehicle starts? Also, how do you turn the truck off if you don't need to put the key into the ignition?
