~420 with a 32 gallon fill-up (when it says it is empty and time to refuel). There's 6 gallons of reserve in the 38 gallon tank.

Must be why I kind of enjoy my times in Austin...
Yeah, it's not all good. And I don't actually live there. But I also don't actually live in Portland and there are places that I really enjoy and have a good time in Portland as well.
It's all what you make of it...I've actually never been to a place that I didn't try to find at least something worth seeing or experiencing. New Orleans is probably the closest I've come to what I would consider a "scourge" when I visited, but even there I managed to have a good time.

Just start typing 'Keep Austin...' in your Google search bar and see how it auto-completes. Tells you all you need to know, and leaves the decision of good or bad to you.

    Definitely go.

Agreed. I would say that just about every city in the country has run through the cycle once or at last has pockets of it that have, while other pockets may be back a few stages or more. Kind of makes the exploration fun, imo. Though, tents belong in the woods, not on concrete. So that's like final Boss Portland, aka Tacoma, WA.

Epoxied a nut for the lower driver's grab handle bolt as it seems they stopped welding one in place for after 2013. I painted them a couple days back. Eventually want to do the rest and the headliner in black as well. Really appreciate those of you who let me know this can be retrofit. What have you guys done for this nut?

I used to like Austin for the music scene, bars on Sixth and Barton Springs/Zilker Park. Then the tech companies came from the Republik of Kalifornia creating traffic jams and expensive housing. That said Franklin’s BBQ is still one of my go to places.

I finally had the lift and tires installed after purchasing the truck a year ago and the lift 10 months ago. I’m still debating on installing the CB+2 or purchasing the 1 inch block from Eibach to complete the lift. The truck looks so much better than the 32inch tires that came with it.

I did Eibach pro truck lift with it’s stock settings from them. I forgot to measure before and after, but I think it’s set at 2 inches. The rear suspension is stock for now with Eibach shocks. And, I went with 275/70 Wildpeaks.

I’ve found tents on the concrete in every city I’ve been in since 2018. It’s not a problem anyone seems really dedicated to solving unfortunately. Not that there’s an easy and humane solution.

Oh, there are easy ways. Some may not consider them "humane", but at this point IDGAF.

I moved from the Portland area to the Austin area. Austin is much better than Portland on many fronts. Portland lost its luster several years ago and is being run into the ground by the leadership.

In my experience, the Wildpeaks will do you proud. I’ve got 40k on mine and they look like they have 30 more to go.

Austin is heading that way. Hopefully the new mayor isn’t such a POS as the last one. Used to be a fun town I never worried about walking around in. In the last 7 years we’ve had a friend murdered by the homeless and another attacked.
