WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

No pictures but put on the TRD skid plate on my Limited CM (non TRD) over the weekend. Kind of disappointed that Toyota does not put any skid plate on 4x4 as standard equipment

 

Finished my Rave offroad heritage grill install. I am happy with the looks but the quality was a little lacking. I had to drill out the camera hole and modify the camera bracket they sent since it didn't fit. Also don't like the amber lights at the top so I took them out.

While doing it I chose to plasti dip the mustache, and I'm happy but need to touch up spots that got it hit while mounting again.

Light bar doesn't offer much light but I prefer it to having the random opening there.

Did you just tap into the existing lights in the footwell and door panel? My SR5 has no lights at all in those areas so I’m trying to figure out if I could wire this in without totally tearing stuff apart.

 

Today I added a solid 1/2" of ice to my hood and bumper ...

I was going to see how the 4x4 compared to my Sierra that I had during the 2021 icemagedon but decided against it.

We don't get this in Dallas very often. Thanks in advance for your understanding northerners.

 

Knowing what you know now, would you buy this heritage grill kit again? I was looking into it and I was concerned with how bright the light bar would be. Rave claims 4,000 likens.

 

I would probably still get the kit. I know just the grill is about 250 vs 450 with camera bracket, light bar, and marker lights. I do think the finish is better for some of the fine points on stock. Some of the screw holes are tight and the edges on the marker lights are rough.

The light output is brighter than the headlights and you can tell it is on but it's nothing to write home about. First picture is with light bar second without.

With all the peeps springing for the PRO front + that light bar I thought it would be at least somewhat "presentable," but that's all you get out of it?

Not disparaging anyone's choices, but only for example and comparison - here's what my "mid-range" $150 light bar can do:

Has anyone done a Go Rhino sports bar 2.0 with the pop up lights on a Gen3 yet? I’d be interested to see it and hear any issues you might have run into. Wondering if I can finally fulfill my childhood dream of having the modern equivalent of Marty Mcfly’s Toyota from Back to the Future. Lol

 

Added TVD vinyl decals. Silver metallic to match the rims. Next want to upgrade to TRDPRO grill

 

Which sliders did you go with? I have not found any that run the full length to fill in the space between the flares on the CrewMax Long Bed.

Where did you get the switch panel mount?

 

FYI the CBI longbed slides will not go flare to flare, they only 94" long. Needs to be ~100" for Crewmax long bed

 

Ruff Countrey 2” N3 loaded struts… Not bad, very close to OEM. Easy install. Temporary lift until Icon kit comes in.

Just got my Go Rhino D6 running boards installed and I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. I got them adjusted pretty close to the rocker for now but will probably end up lowering them. Right now they are about 1/2” from hitting the bottom of the rocker.

 

Nice! I ordered the D6’s too they are supposed to be delivered Monday. Our trucks are the same color too so it’s like I’m looking into my future when I look at those pics.
