Does anyone know who sets up the truck transport from the railyard to the dealership? Does the dealership set it up or do truck transport companies bid on the route? Trying to nudge my dealership but don't know if its their responsibility to set up tracking or they're at the mercy of the truck transport company.

 

They are at the mercy of the truck transport company.

Edit: I believe this is all done via Toyota. Dealers don't have anything to do with the logistics of getting a vehicle from the plant to the dealership.

I'm looking for assistance tracking my 2023 Tundra I-Force Max Platinum. It was originally scheduled for delivery to Cincinatti by 1/14. It has been consistently pushed back day by day. Now the dealer is saying any time between now and 2/5/23. I am starting to question things and would like more details to be able to track myself. VIN: 5TFNC5DB0PX019641. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

 

Looks like you're on FI hold. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

 

What does FI Hold mean? I was told originally this truck was on a QC hold back in December, but it was released around the first week of January for delivery to the dealership.

 

FI can mean tons of different things. Only way to for sure know is the dealer has to call the region inventory rep who then has to call the railyard. At least that's my experience with FI status

once its tendered to a transport company liability transfers to the transport company for any damages before dealer acceptance.

crap thats a fuking huge railyard. the black/dark area on the left is the vehilce holding area (left of the centerpoint intermodal center map pin)

 

i tracked it via the phone and rail car number and it arrived 1/30 but the update pipeline from Bobbilly states 1/31.

it says it should be on a truck today so hopefully good news soon. But Toyota Carlsbad said a deliver between 2/4 to 2/11 last week. Might follow up with them as well

Dealer isn't wrong. This is something the dealer can't control. I know it's hard to have patience at this point, but you're close!
