Anyone else having issues trying to source rotors for the big brake upgrade? I can't find any and every Toyota shop I have hit says 2-3 week backorder. Anyone know of a place or an aftermarket replacement? I called Stoptech, they gave me part numbers for two rotors and they aren't available anywhere either. At this point I am ready to buy a used set if there are any out there and machine them. Mine are too badly grooved or I would do that with my current set.

Anyone? I still can't find a set of rotors and I have talked to dealerships all over the country at this point.

So order them, and wait for the back order. It was a 2-3 week wait and you've waited months trying to not wait.:confused::confused:

Seriously? I wouldn't be asking if I didn't do all that guys. Come on now.

I have two sets on order for months, nothing has come in. Sparks Parts I ordered first back in October, then Kerry Toyota back in November. Nothing has come available. I tried multiple online retailers and TRD shops and the order just gets cancelled. I was hoping someone found an aftermarket option for these rotors or a cross referenced part number. I called Stoptech and they gave me a part number, but those aren't available from anyone right now either.

I'm only going off what the websites state that they aren't backordered. Good luck with your search.

Ah. That wasn't stated anywhere. My apologies. With some of the questions that get asked, that kind of thing isn't outside the realm of possibility.

@BlueCrushSC16 I reached out to both links posted and we will see if they have any better luck. It comes down to finding some place that has a pair sitting on a shelf or a warehouse that has them sitting. I have been a forum moderator and admin for other car pages so I understand the thought there. I am desperate at this point though.

    Too many mods to come
Why not find the specs out and order another brand? I.e. sizing etc.

That is what I was attempting when I called StopTech (Owned by Centric). I have two part numbers that are supposedly a match, but those aren't available anywhere else either. Seems TRD just isn't stocking them.

I almost thought about buying a full kit just for the rotors and selling the rest, but yeah, the full kits may be available, not sure. I have to say though, best mod I did on the truck was this brake kit, I just wish I had bought a spare set of rotors when I bought the kit. I bought multiple sets of pads/hardware and didn't get extra rotors.

I hate to say this, but I believe those rotors have been out of production for a while, they were made by Centric/StopTech under the TRD program, the rotors are 400x32mm if I recall correctly, you can get custom made 2pcs by Coleman Racing.

A lot of time the SKU shows up as available, but the moment you order the warehouse will tell the dealer its on back order, but in reality is that they'll never be filled.

How much larger are the TRD "big brakes" versus standard?

Looks to be a stouter caliper...??

TRD calipers are 6 piston vs stock 4, and the rotors require 20"+ wheels

Original poster - I've been waiting for stop tech cryo blanks AND Sport (slotted) since August. Rears weren't an issue, the fronts I still can't find. Still no ETA as of Saturday when they called me to tell me grea... Nope, nevermind. No update, no ETA, they were sorry for the call.

I thought it was specifically anything cryo treated right now

I'm sure if you guys band together, Coleman would do a batch production, precovid I paid $900 for pair of 2pcs rotors assemblies.

Stock rotors are 353mm , TRD is 400mm, it's giant, it also weights like almost 35lbs, the calipers are stoptech st65, if you are a good friend with machinist, you could machine the calipers to accept sosperformance 380mm rotors.

Biggest downside for the trd kit is that the calipers are not radial mounted, which would've been easy to use different rotors.

Sos performance kit uses st60 calipers (I have it on the truck), and st65 pads are significantly longer.

Do you have the specs from the 2 piece rotor? Or did you change it all out and it wouldn't help us? Coleman gave me a hell of a measurements list to go through and some of those I don't know how to pull exactly.
