bed mat will keep it from sliding around. Add on a tonneau cover and you're golden. I throw my snowboard and all my gear in the back and it stays put with both of these.

Mine has a small gap between the step and the underside of the bumper. Maybe 1/4" to 1/2". Definitely has not rubbed.

Just a heads up for anyone interested...

Bed Rug is running 10% off all bed mats, bed rugs, and tailgate mats until the end of the month: https://bedrug.com/all-products/2022/toyota/tundra

~$150 for the bed mat or ~$185 for the bed mat that includes the tailgate plus free shipping. Not bad pricing.

Side note: I'm not affiliated with them. Just ordered since I've been waiting on a sale.

Yea, it’s fine. The finish of the sticker is very good, but since it’s a sticker I don’t know how long it’ll last. I’d prefer a solid piece, but for $25 it’ll do.

Both your comment and question made me curious to see what ChatGPT would spit out

    Secure Snowboard in Tundra

Can you tell me how to secure a snowboard in the bed of a 2022 Toyota Tundra using the existing rail system in the bed?

To secure a snowboard in the bed of a 2022 Toyota Tundra using the existing rail system, you will need to use tie-down cleats or anchors that are compatible with the rail system.

Here are the steps to secure a snowboard:

    1. Position the snowboard in the bed of the truck so that it is parallel to the cab and centered on the width of the bed.
    2. Locate the tie-down cleats or anchors on the rail system and place them at the front and rear of the snowboard.
    3. Use straps or ropes to secure the snowboard to the cleats or anchors, making sure the snowboard is tightly secured and will not move during transport.
    4. Double check that the snowboard is secure before driving.
It's always a good idea to refer to the Owner's Manual for specific instructions or recommendations for tie downs for your specific make and model of truck.

The problem with ChatGPT is that it last contextual nuance. To you and I, the word "Secure" might mean to prevent theft. ChatGPT might interpret the word "Secure" more like simply tying it down to prevent it from flying out of the bed. I do love that you pinged ChatGPT to see what it said. I've had a lot of fun playing around with it.

Anyone find an aftermarket kit to create a flat floor in the back seat?
    Piss poor design.
Would like to figure this out before entertaining the idea of purchasing a new Tundra.

Overlandaddict makes a rear seat delete kit, but I haven’t seen a great aftermarket kit that leaves the seats in place. There’s a post somewhere in the forums about some DIY options.

After a year of running stock TRD OR wheels with Cooper LT275/65R20 tires, decided to go all out.

First, coopers are awesome, not my first cooper set. However, these tires are heavy; significant hit on mpg, power and ride quality. For me, the latter two were major problems.

I decided to go for larger tires, but lighter. Specially, went for Wrangler Territory 315/70R17, which are 9lbs lighter than coopers, wrapped around Methods (MR305 17x8.5 +25mm offset). Total wheel tire package is now about 18-20 lbs lighter per wheel, which is a lot.

wow, ride quality is awesome now, will have to wait to give an opinion on power and mpg..

In 2 months, my King suspension is coming, so front will get 1.2 inch lift.

ps: truck has stock height and suspension. The rear axle has about 400lbs load, my old tires and wheels. Hence it does look relatively level.

Anyone able to point me to directions on installing the TRD running boards (PT767-34221) for the double cab? I see a lot of people say its super easy, just very particular in making sure I'm doing it correctly. Much appreciated!

Also the new EEF Qi charger has been working perfectly.

Finally got rid of the rear chrome bumper caps. Used vinyl, heat and some patience. It’s not a perfect color match but really really close. I’ll take better pictures when I wash it, which will also give a better comparison.
I also added mats inside by Smartliner. They’re just like the big name folks just priced better. I’ve seen lots of people talking about WeatherTech, Husky and Rough Country. Check out Smart Liners.

Nice. I'm going to pull the bumper caps to cut & in-lay some flush mounts lights back there. I've been toying around with testing my vinyl skills on those caps. I kept thinking those pieces wouldn't be too bad to attempt a DIY wrap job since they're close to square and flat. lol. They seem like good pieces to practice on.

That’s exactly what I want to do but I wanted to see how I’d do wrapping them. The edges and corners sucked and it took some time get shaped and stretched right without having fingers. My first attempt a year ago went horribly wrong but I did way better this time. I really like having less chrome! The Hogan mustache I’m on the fence of deleting. Only because it breaks up the big grille and I like the blue I have on the TRD and Tundra

that was my first ever wrap job, all sorts of angles, text inlay, air pocket openings

it was not that hard at all, just time and patience, the bumper covers shud be a walk through the park - even if its your first job ever

Question regarding Retrax PRO MX - is there a way to upgrade to have the channels like the XR that support rack accessories? Or other aftermarket options/suggestions. With the box housing unit dropping into the bed and 5.5 bed really limits space in the bed. I did add the bed extender for weekend projects. But thinking summer travels may need more space.

I figured it out - on the Retrax sight I found they sell rail kits. Little expensive, just over $300.
Now I need to find a rack. Looking for something slim - sleek, ideally telescoping or folding if there is such a thing. Planning for bikes and storage box for traveling.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciate.
