I sent ICS the dimensions. He replied back and they can custom make a mount for it. I haven't emailed him back yet on the price/details.

How did you go about mating the plates up to drill the holes to match the Rago base plate?

I just used the ol’ eyeball. Overlaid the Rago mounting bracket on top of the ICS plate and lined them up so the overhang of the ICS plate was about equal on both sides of the Rago bracket. Then I clamped them together with some quick clamps and used the Rago bracket as my drilling template. This was all done outside of the truck on my workbench, of course. Don’t forget to drill an extra hole directly below the usb charging port so you can pull those wires through without having to bend them all over. Then use the Rago bracket to mark/drill your holes in the dash.

Really the only way of filling the logo in is with something like Quicksteel or JB Weld, sanding it smooth, and then having it powdercoated.

Ordered the support plate, 2 ball mounts, and 2 tiny arms. They are going to make me a plate for the SG3 and my camera monitor that I use when towing the travel trailer.

If anyone finds a mount that has zero vibration please post up. It is the nature of the beast. A dash that is not solid and not designed to be added with an arm to mount regardless of length will have some vibration

How long did it take for ICS to send you a shipment notice once you placed your order? I ordered the plate, 2 ball mounts, and 2 arms on Tuesday but no notification yet.

It took a few days for the order to update and ship. Once it shipped it arrived in a couple days.

I agree. Anything is going to have some vibration. What's that mount you have your iPad in?

You guys that are getting the vibration, is it only when you have something big attached like an ipad? I didn't even put the ICS reinforcement plate underneath and I don't really notice any vibration with just my phone.

Received my Rago mount today. No QC issues with mine that I can see. Still waiting for the ICS support plate and ball mounts to ship.

Edit....just got a shipping notification

While you're waiting for your support plate, you can always drill a hole in the mounting plate to run the wiring for the USB through, figure out where you want to grab power for the USB (the cigarette lighter plug is common)and get the wiring ready, and mark and drill the holes in your dash. Just don't apply too much pressure while drilling through the dash plastic.

What does the ICS plate do? Does it mount on the underside of the dash (above the head unit)??

Yes. Way more secure than just using the washers. Or you can always make one.

    Thanks... Ordered!!! :hattip:

I've got to crack open the dash to install my FRAC harness. So I was planning on getting everything related to needing access behind the head unit done and buttoned back up in one shot so I'm not tearing that thing apart several times.

If you pay attention to it, you’re going to see vibration. Large device or small. No way around it. That being said, the minimal amount of vibration that I see doesn’t bother me. If you’re driving down the road and looking at the screen long enough to be REALLY bothered by the vibration I think you need to reassess your priorities.

Good to hear the mount looks good for you. I hope Rago continues to produce good stuff and improve their products/ideas. For any failings they might have, I like seeing American companies bring products to market.

I recently installed the ICS dash mount with support plate. My iPhone 13 pro vibrates. I believe its just the nature of the set up. Long arm holding a device out from a single point. I find myself not looking at my phone as much. That's probably a good thing. lol

It vibrates regardless of the backing plate. There are only two mounting posts to connect the actual plate to the dash mounting bracket. I think it would be steadier if there were a mounting post on each corner. But it doesn’t bother me one bit. I love the mount and it’s functionality

That is why I got rid of my ICS and went with Rago. The ICS requires a long arm regardless of where you mount anything just to clear the dash edge.
