Track your Tundra when in "F" status on the train

I've been told by my dealer that they don't even get a VIN until it shows up on the lot. I'm not sure if that's a lazy dealer or just a sign of how terrible tracking of Canadian units are. Very frustrating.

I have an Oct 2022 allocation, original ETA was Jan 20 to Jan 30. About a month ago it got pushed to Feb 23 to Mar 5. Dealer told me "not to be surprised" if pushed back yet again. They said its "logistics issues" - no idea if it's a QC issue, if its stuck in a port, or if its not even built and still just a line on a spreadsheet sitting on a desk in San Antonio... Apparently this is the Canadian tracking system - you just get a phone call when it shows up.

 

I just was advised the same thing yesterday. I put in my order with my dealer April 14th. Said that it is built & in transit. With estimated arrival of February 26th to March 6th.

 

Seems like we are in the same boat here, I have a Sept 2022 allocation, and my date has changed a bit over time:
- Original date: Mid-Feb 2023
- Update Oct 2022: Mid Jan 2023
- Update early Dec: 06-16 Jan 2023
- Update late Dec: 26 Jan-05 Feb 2023
- Latest update 14 Jan 2023: built & in-transit with delivery between 5-9 Feb 2023

But I'm wondering how accurate those #'s are and if I can rely on these!!

I'm due for another follow-up with my dealer, but was told, from someone that works there, that until the truck reaches Canada and is being loaded on the transport for dealer delivery, we don't get any VIN, the VIN will be available approx 2-3 days before delivery to dealer.

I'm sure there's a way to track them similar to the US, just no one has taken the time to understand the system.

 

I was told the same thing when I asked for a VIN. Said they won't have it until it reaches the sorting facility.

 

My truck's date of arrival at dealership keeps getting pushed every four days, even though its arrived at the final railyard. However, on the tracking provided by bobbilly, it does not show a hold. Even though it doesn't show a hold, is it possible they are still working on it at the railyard?

 

I just heard my truck was released from the QC hold and should be delivered next week now.

the railyard is not the same place they will fix a qc hold. if you look up a port railyard, its just a big parking lot that has rail access and a means to unload vehicles. see pic of daytons bluff, mn railyard. the yellow ramps at the end of the rail cars is the ramp to unload vehicles from a car.

 

What area are you in?

 

New England, I am in Maine. I think it is sitting in Massachusetts

Hi! Thank you! I had a 1/24 build date, but according to this it looks to have been moved to 1/27? Does this happen often, or is there a known delay at the plant? Hoping it actually gets built tomorrow and not moved again?
